TL;DR: Early beta build sold as a full "live" service title.

DISCLAIMER: Despite the negative review I like the game. However in its current state I cannot recommend buying it.

The core gameplay loop is fun and depending on how you approach the game can provide entertainment for many hours.

Combat is engaging and from a little Vermintide 2 experience I feel like it is an improvement in many ways. The mixture of close quarters and ranged combat has a nice flow. You can purge the heretics with steel, fire and space magic.
The gameplay forms a solid foundation for the game but every other system works actively against it.

Different weapons are gated by an RNG shop and acquiring items through missions is completely based on RNG as well. The weapon store refreshes hourly.
Crafting system is still incomplete and in the current build. You can only create a perfect weapon through having the stars align with the current store rotation. And roll the dice again when upgrading it to get the right sub-stats and blessings. The future is grimgamble.

Upgrading weapons costs a hearty amount of crafting materials, that you find during the missions. Upgrading one piece of equipment to the maximum level takes approximately 8 completed matches worth of materials. You keep only a fraction of picked up stuff after a failed mission. Your characters do not share any of the resources or equipment.

You don't need the fully optimized best in slot weapons to beat the high difficulties, but having potential builds locked behind an RNG system is simply put not fun.

Mission selection is random and updates constantly. Some of the weekly challenges are tied to completing secondary objectives within a certain map tileset. The hub itself feels barren even with other players around you. The social features are a buggy mess.

Game still has constant performance issues and crashes, but thank the Emperor the cosmetic store works flawlessly.

I really hope to see this game improved in the future, but selling an incomplete product with a full price was not a gamer move. Will update this review when appropriate. Maybe next week™

It's all fun and games until you're chased down by a crawling child with a face full of teeth.

I used to have friends but they're all gone now.

Do NOT turn on the collision!

Golf With Your Friends offers an amazing platform to kill time with your supposedly good friends, who eventually will turn into monsters only seeking to do you harm by the time you finish the 8th hole.

Pros:
The game has implemented a classic feature from Team Fortress 2 - hats. You can decorate your ball with hats and trails so your friends will be able to identify you better. The game itself has some bugs but because of the nature of the game it'll only add to the experience. You can customize the game option to suit your preferences with low gravity, random ball shapes and jumping. Did I mention that you can even play with an acorn?

Cons:
Golf With Your Friends at its current state doesn't offer too many map options or a way to make your own maps.
