Quirky and weird. Great game, as long as you don't mind jumping and running around an island, tracking down leads and jumping around to find hidden gems (which really isn't nearly as necessary as the game makes it out to be).

It's un unravelling a mystery, while at the same time developing some interesting worldbuilding. Worth a play.

Please note that the 2.9 hours that Steam has me logged as is far less than the actual playtime. It just doesn't count time in offline mode.

I really wanted to get into this, it looked like it was right up my alley, but it really failed to keep my interest past a few hours.

Graphics and art direction are lovely, but that's really the only outstanding selling point.

It would be a mistake to look at this game and view it as just another Starde Valley rip off.

Sure, it's taking obvious inspiration from SDV, but it takes that and runs with it, mixing it up with unique mechanics, a storyline with hidden depth, and an overall sense of cheer. Quite a lot of stuff that I'd consider to be quality of life upgrades as well..

A fine slate of characters, and getting to know them is fun. I'd say it's worth a playthrough!

So the gameplay itself it fun, the mechanics are interesting. There's not much in terms of plotline, but there's surprising depth in all the little hidden features or easter eggs to come across. Fairly decent replay-ability

Worth giving it a shot IMHO.

This game is ok. Not great, worth a few play throughs.

The characters you meet and interact with are interesting enough, but to steal a phrase from another review, it's all surface level.

The mechanics are interesting at first, but once mastered (and it doesn't take long) they quickly become monotonous to slog through.

So, if it's on sale pick it up, but don't expect massive replay value IMHO.

Simply put, I could not get into this game; gave it a couple hours but was not compelled to continue.

Highly recommended.

Great game mechanics, interesting powers to be unlocked, that combine in some fun ways. Challenges are all, well, challenging, in different ways. I dunno, I'm a sucker for mining rpgs I guess, but the wave of attack mechanic definitely mixed things enough to remain fresh. When deciding what to upgrade, the choices all remain consequential; can you risk ignoring defences to speed yourself up, upgrade your drill, etc?

Well worth the time; and for what it's worth if it's still October 2024 when you're reading this, you can get a copy in this month Humble Choice bundle.

Some great visuals, an interesting story backed by reasonable world building, delivered piecemeal as you uncover snippets of lore through audio and visual logs. Gameplay itself is nothing to write home about, being mostly a walking simulator, but all in all makes for an interesting play through.

I'll admit I usually don't like tower defence games, but when Heretic's Fork took tower defence and jammed it together with a deckbuilder roguelike? I was intrigued.

And yeah, it worked. It's sufficiently challenging, not *too* grindy, and definitely satisfying when one wins a run. Some luck required, some learning how the systems interact, etc.

I'd recommend playing.

I dunno what to say here really; it's in a genre I like, clearly emulating games I enjoyed, and seemed to be executed fairly well, but overall it kinda just really didn't click.

I think I'm mostly not a fan of the corruption mechanic.
