The game frequently crashes when transitioning between areas. I got 13 hours in and the game won't even load anymore. Legitimately wasted my money.

I had a bug where the game would experience a 3 second freeze every 15 seconds that made it impossible to play. I followed all the guides and even contacted the developer directly who quickly gave up and ignored me, citing a graphics card issue with my 2 month old Nvidia 2060. This update that fixes NOTHING just adds insult to injury.

Great game! The AI is highly reactive in defending, evading and blocking escape attempts to create a very neutral based game focused on rewarding skill and punishing brainless spamming. Arche has a huge amount of combo based movement options including a jump kick, wide thrust and backroll and they only increase in quantity and effectiveness as the game progesses. Your party AI also has a high degree of customization in reactions to situations/positioning and they never get stuck in terrain or make dumb decisions. The world is huge with lots of rewarding secrets, and the story is fun with a decent number of puzzles. If you think something is hiding from you, it usually is and the reward is always awesome like status inflicting weapons or strong armour, but the game still feels balanced. You will be punished hard in some scenarios as the game makes legitimate attempts to kill you, and sprawling, similar dungeon layouts mean frequently getting lost. Manage your resources and equipment, remember to block, anti-air when they jump, use the auto-heal button (set it to use rare items. you'll thank me later) as well as use your roll to escape and you'll have a great time. Crank the difficulty up to maximum once you get used to seamlessly flowing Arche's moves into each other.
