(My original review was favorable but after playing a couple of seasons I had to reassess)

It's fun but riddled with bugs and poorly optimized servers with latency issues that make rubber banding, disconnects, and crashes regular occurrences.

Then there's the predatory loot box gambling gacha-like system. I don't mind supporting a game via the in-game shop and battle passes but encouraging something so devastating to peoples lives like gambling- I just can't support that.

They act and speak like they have a zero tolerance for cheaters but more often than not cheaters get a slap on the wrist and are back to their bs in 24 hours. This same AI anti-cheat system allows people to report anyone for any reason; so people can report and get people banned just because they calmly corrected someone. I saw someone get angry at being corrected and they reported the person who was just trying to help, resulting in that helpful person being banned for 24 hours and having that on their record.

So far, in the almost 4 months since launch, the Devs have shown their true colors. What they say and what they do are polar opposites and they seem very shady. I'm definitely starting to regret the money my husband and I have put into this game.

I hope they get the bugs fixed, the translation worked on, the latency and other lag related issues dealt with and the crashing to desktop stopped. I also hope they choose to stop using predatory gambling to fund this train wreck. And I hope they figure out how to work their ai anti-cheat system and allow appeals via real human customer service agents so innocent people can appeal these bs reports asap. I can't recommend this game until at least most of these things are addressed and remedied.

Fun co-op with my family and The Company.

Fun (and frustrating) to play with friends. Don't get left behind!

HIghly entertaining without being difficult or frustrating (so far, at least) if you liked Terraria, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Starbound, etc, you will probably enjoy Core Keeper.

I love this game and am really looking forward to the upcoming sequel

Well, that was a waste.
Server queue issues, waited hours to get into a West coast server only to find out if I'd gone East coast my queue would have been short or even non-existant. Lag on East server since I'm in Seattle.
Login issues where I had to look up how to configure the games exe in order to get it to launch past the EasyAnticheat. Was weird because it failed to launch twice, then launched successfully once, then a bunch of failed launches that lead me to Google the 'known issue'.
Then I get into the game and the voice acting is cringe bad.
The class system needs jesus.
The intro is boring story mixed with unimportant game play. I start with decent gear but the game immediately rewards me a blue weapon even though there's been zero combat. Combat was uninspiring. I felt like I was controlling a poorly made Diablo 3 bootleg.
And I didn't get too much further. It was painful to sit through and felt like a tedious waste of time.
I love mmorpg's but this one could barely compete with most f2p/p2w models.
It is beautiful though...
Tragically disappointing.

At launch: So far, so good. Reminds me a lot of Remnant: From the Ashes, Anthem, and Destiny 2.

Edit: The storytelling was entertaining enough but nothing great and once you complete it the game becomes a boring grind of timed (I loathe the anxiety timed modes give me, not fun) expeditions that barely reward anything of value. I completed the campaign at tier 15 but I can barely get silvers in tier 6 expeditions and that's the lowest tier that has a tiny percent chance to drop legendaries. My husband's friends have already given up and now we will be calling it quits as well. Very disappointing. Would only recommend if it's on sale as the story is okay and fun to play with friends.

It was also a bit frustrating that the game is built for 3 person teams. Me and my husband were never able to group with other friends because they were in pairs as well.

Edit 2:
Overcharging for dlc that should have been a part of launch because this trainwreck is still unfinished? Unforgivable. I'd much rather have Anthem 2 than this overpriced mess. Sadly, that was canceled, like this title should be.

Great multiplayer experience. I had a blast dying with my husband. 10/10 would die again

I had a lot of fun playing co-op with my husband.
