Sony. You should be printing more money right now when you port the PS4 Nathan Drake Collection to PC. Great choice for those who didn't got to play the first trilogy games.

I don't play Souls games that much. But bring in Bloodborne too. Infamous, Killzone, and Resistance include that also.

If this was a setup for green lighting the sequel, I am down. Like most people would have thought that we were getting a sequel earlier than expected after finishing the game a few months after it was released back in 2019. Which it took 6 years for a dynamic lighting enhancement, a Horde Assault mode, and a Permadeath mode we didn't asked for and it should have been free in the first place.

*The graphics were already perfect before this update and probably the most impressive part of the game and a technical feat. Realistic graphics even for a Steam Deck and a base PlayStation 4 can achieve without the need for too much graphics processing power. How Unreal Engine should have been.

*Horde Assault mode. Should have been a free content update before. Sure it was fun and you can fight hordes anywhere you want and the game spawns it wherever you are in the map at a certain timer. Lots of loot and a lootbox mechanic for randomized Weapons and Items to use at a designated spots on the map. It also includes modifiers for extra game play enhancements. More infected wildlife animals, more durable bike, exploding infected when killed, and so much more.

*There goes my perfect achievement for this game. Once again, who dafuq asked for this? A Permadeath in an open world game? I can add more to satisfy OCD players (because I admittedly am one of those). Complete the game without the bike, complete the game without guns, complete the game without healing, and without getting shot once. Hell, just complete the game even without walking.

I am with the former director of Bend Studios, John Garvin, with this one.
Mainstream game journalist and the execs of Sony at the time should be blamed for cancelling the sequel for this great game. Include the abomination that is the DEI consultants.

UPDATE after finishing Permadeath Mode (06/05/2025):
More like Broken DLC

When I say that the graphics were already perfect before the update, the game is already flawless overall. Until this DLC came, more ♥♥♥♥ just got broken. Broken Road adds bug breaking progression during final mission. I never crashed once before the DLC. I got it running everything on Ultra graphics settings at 120fps locked for consistent performance. With this DLC, I crashed during cutscene when I skipped it at a mission to test a napalm molotov.

Not game performance issues but actual bugs and glitches that almost got my Permadeath run killed during the final mission with that interactive Skizzo boss fight. The floor is missing and Skizzo just got wormholed down to hell and Deacon fights the Hollow Man and then he also fell of the map afterwards. Thankfully, I restarted the whole final mission and it fixed. On top of that they gave an update about it and actually fixed it.

Another is for playing more than 1 hour in Horde Asssault Mode, the game starts to decay itself. Trying to aim and I can't shoot my gun, my Napalm molotov for some reason didn't explode on the hordes. Same for grenades.

UPDATE (06/11/2025):
Bend Studio staff and developers got laid off and reported around 30% of them. 40 people have been let go. Sony also cancelled 2 of the unannounced "live-service" games.

When we wanted Days Gone 2, this wouldn't happened. Now the sequel will unlikely going to be made at this point. This cancerous sh!t, live-service garbage, the region lock restrictions, and the mutant abominations who includes forced DEI into almost everything, should be gunned down as an execution.

The continuation of the Trapped in Limbo DLC (Basically, one of the branching path for the True Good Ending). Ended in a cliffhanger for the upcoming next DLC.

*Whole DLC takes place underwater. Heavily inspired from Bioshock's Rapture. One main objective is named after a book, Atlas Shrugged, also the biggest inspiration for Bioshock's creation.
*A cameo of one of the science Youtuber, Kyle Hill, plays as "Nikolai "Kolya" Volkov" as a new supporting character out of the other 2. Nastasha and Hunter.
*Dolphins are now cuter thanks to the THOUGHT Devices. You can talk to them in this expansion. Even play fetch with one of the dolphins.
*2 new weapons, Kuzmich a drum mag-equipped semi-auto shotgun and a Thunderclap. An axe with sawblade.
*2 new Polymeric glove powers, Whip and Blaze
*3 new boss fights

Yes I think Ubisoft should shut down for constantly shoving Uplay down my throat that I needed to enter the password of my Uplay Account everytime I wanted to play this masterpiece. Nuke Uplay launcher.

Its like Borderlands but in Third Person, with the name Tom Clancy brand slapped into it, your main character has no personality and without Spider-Man in it. Post-Apocalyptic New York is amazing here and you get to explore the whole city on foot just with civilians, rioters, cleaners, US army, the military agents and actual players roaming (if you find any because this game feels dead but still decently fun on solo) all over the place. The world is so detailed here, it makes the interiors of every building 100 times more accessible than in GTA 4. In fact, you don't even have to go to New York to get the feel of the city in real life. Just imagine it if the city was the Ground Zero for Cov!d.

Finished this on my PS4 Pro on Standard for 5 hours in my first time playing it. 3 years later, I bought it again on PC on discounted price (and for game collection purposes) to give it another shot. It's difficult for me to call this a "remake". I didn't even felt the satisfaction of replaying this game several times like I did with RE2 Remake. The problem is that the game is tasteless and disappointing compared to the original RE3. It's like ordering a food from a restaurant before Gordon Ramsay investigated the poor quality control on how the food was prepared and served. Separate Ways DLC from RE4 Remake has more thought out than this game. This should have been a DLC rather than full game unless they could pull it off like an actual remake of RE3. The untapped potential was there. They didn't just get it right in time during it's development but only made it a year before RE2 remake was done.

It's too linear in regards to level design in which strayed away from the original with lots of backtracking and planning.

There's so much content from the original that were cut. You better off play the original PS1 game and that game had bigger level to explore than this. The opening big area to explore in the beginning of the game, The Clock Tower, The Raccoon City Park and it's boss fight, The Grave Digger, some of the puzzles, the branching paths and actions, and more.

Operation Raccoon City, a spin-off 4-player Third Person Shooter game from 2012 even had recreations of those levels from the original RE3. You can even access the Clock Tower and the Raccoon City Park itself in that game. Even if it is just a spin-off, it is more faithful to RE2 and RE3 at the time and I rather play that game because it's more fun to play.

Jill Valentine's character is completely derailed from her original self. Basically her personality was remade entirely. She is one of those type of unlikable "strong female character". A wannabe badass b!tch of cop. Compared to her original personality in which she is more caring and a sympathetic person. Her character was consistent from RE1 to RE5. Capcom decided to also carry her own personality and likeness to another RE movie Death Island for some reason. Jill's new look is okay. Based on a Russian face model, Sasha Zotova. The rest of the characters are actually improved a bit from the original. Carlos is more likable than in the original. Tyrell had more screentime than in the original.

Gameplay is basically from RE2 remake but with a dodge button and a slightly faster movement speed. Graphics is the same.

The story premise is the same from the original. But since it's a remake, some parts of the story in between the beginning and the final was either removed or changed entirely. Go play the original PS1 instead.

EDIT: F*** this cheap bullsh!t Final Nemesis boss fight. I have never seen a stun lock so bad that you get stuck getting killed with that 3 pounder attack with a faster animation.

Buy it in discount if you are only in it for the story
