Great game. Its a kind of narrowly focused game, with only a few modes and nothing wildly imaginative, but whats there is good and its F2P. Probably not going to hold your attention forever but I can see myself playing this on and off.

Reddit is super salty that there's this 50 dollar cosmetic pack in the store. Where were these people for Star Citizen and all the gacha games? This is a F2P game lets you make waifus and husbandos did you really expect the cosmetic prices to be reasonable? AFAIK there is no pay to win

Combat is great in that the skill floor is hit all your buttons and you'll do fine, and the skill ceiling is really high. The skintight sexy bodysuits exist but you don't really see them in the course of normal gameplay. If you actually want to complain about this games shortcomings, its here. A bunch of mechs counter other mechs a little too hard, and I don't feel like any progression the game has really gets me going.

Good game, hope they succeed, we need more games like this: Not GOTY, but good, focused and F2P.

Very fun game. In my eyes has 2 excellent points and 1 bad one
The potion crafting system has you throw ingredients that each have colors associated with them into a pot in a load balancing minigame. Unlike other load balancing minigames out there, there are many many correct solutions, and the challenge is instead your supply and diversity of ingredients. Its fun making potion recipes.

The animation/music/artistic presentation of the game is excellent. I wish people in real life were as emotive and colorful.

Bad: The game puts you on a time crunch in a relationship daily life game, which implies that you should be stressing out and optimizing your in-game time. Why is there mandatory stress in my daily life rom-com social and store management game? The tournament should have just been "you can do it when you want to unlock the next area" and the game would be better

Overall: Modding is REQUIRED for this game. That's a big negative, but if you do it's excellent. The story is lacking but the action is packing. Were the playtesters all artists? Cuz the visuals are amazing and the difficulty is a joke.

If Fallout 4 gets to have "Very Positive" steam reviews so does this game. There are three main concepts holding this game back, 1. The Can of Tuna problem 2. Balance 3. Performance. The main "bones" of the game are frankly amazing

1. Can of Tuna: Not everyone likes Tuna, but Tuna cans get good reviews because it's labeled properly so only people who like tuna eat it. If Tuna were labeled Chicken, like this game is labeled Hero Storyquest Adventuretime instead of crunchy detail oriented exploration, then OF COURSE people leave crap reviews! You told them it was Chicken and then served Tuna! This game is not a "Mixed" steam review game, spank your advertising team. This game doesn't care about story, make that clear.

2. Balance: Most people end the game around level 70. I use a mod to change incoming/outgoing damage. By level 30, I set my outgoing damage to 0.4, and incoming damage to 3x. This game is pitifully easy, and has no hard mode. You Need Mods. I have so many mods which greatly improve my game that are small fixes. That's really bad. However, if Fallout and the like get a pass, as far as I care, so does this game

3. Performance is bad. Frames drop in towns unless you have a supercomputer. This game took no shortcuts when it came to rigging characters, that's why. As a result, there are few edge cases that ruin things, and you can wildly deform models and still have them perform. This robustness comes at the cost of performance that 99% of the userbase isn't going to notice. This is why most games bake in physics and models, it's "good enough," and going the extra mile gets you this: flexible models with bad performance

Best of the remakes, solid all around

My biggest complaint is the scarcity system. The game's ammo drop rates are inversely proportional to how much ammo you have to wild degree and that's DUMB. Try selling all your ammo at the merchant every time you see him vs hoard items and tell me it's not ridiculous

My review for this game was positive and unnecessary on launch. It was well known to be a good game. It is no longer so clean cut. The core gameplay, voicing, backstory, and sound design are top notch

The gun design and balance team is... bad. Every good weapon gets nerfed, every spicy gun gets toned down. There are a slew of assault rifle/shotguns that shoot in different colors but smell the same. I want the exact opposite! I want every other gun to be a major threat to my teammates and myself with a crazy ability and a crazy drawback. I want a gun with 3 ammo total that fires nukes. I want a laser sword. I want a chaingun that takes away my ability to run. Stop giving me assault rifle Version 10

Also, no visibility is not fun as a constant. Make it a planetary modifier, not a constant annoyance.

Is a fun hide and seek game, but people are going to drain the fun out of it by being too efficient.
If the family or survivors don't play like chainsaw killers or scared survivors, it starts getting way less fun. I expect the game will need some changes if it wants to live for more than a year.

On the subject of balance, for Family, Sissy is by FAR the best killer, with speed, stamina, slow poison stumble attacks, follow through tight spaces, poison attack into crevices, traps, and blood collection. She's best compared to... hitchiker, who has follow through tight spaces, traps that are hard countered by a survivor perk, and... yeah thats it. Much shorter list. If you're still unconvinced Sissy is out of line, imagine if Sissy started in basement instead of Bubba.

Meanwhile for survivors: Connie instantly can pick a lock. To escape, you need to pick 4 locks total, and typically one generator. she can skip 1/4 of the main objective. No other survivor can compare.

For for the metagame: The levelup system is just, bad. Because skillpoints are character agnostic and respecs are free, a level 10 person can respec around their basket of points to max any one character, spending a tediuos amount of time doing so, making them need to leave any lobby they can't get them in or play a level 0 character. This naturally leads to toxicity and weird standoff lobbies, especially when Leatherface is considered the least fun family, and is required to start the match.

My suggested changes are simple. Sissy cannot poison/slow/stumble via basic attacks, Connie starts without her character power, and make it so you queue with a specific character at a specific level where trait points are character specific to match with characters of your level. This would also allow people to opt into low power level games.

Solid puzzle game with a full figured character
The character model is the only sexual thing in the game, don't know why people lose their beans over it, don't know why more games don't let you have full figured female proportions.

The game itself is honestly a little stressful as death is common and save rooms are not. I highly recommend a save when you want to mod.

This game is now my totem pole against which all other deckbuilder/enginebuilder games are compared to. The gist of the game is you climb a roguelike set of event nodes up toward boss fights to make use of your (card engine go brrr) death machine that you try to build via collecting cards and artifacts.

Perhaps because I consider this the A grade baseline of the genre, I don't feel like there's many twists to it. This is the benchmark.

I thought this was a scavenge survival game going in, but it turns out the economy and trying to loot isn't actually that important. As a result, it wasn't what I was looking for but I found a good stealth shooter game regardless. Playing on the highest difficulty felt correct, as lethality of guns goes both ways. Near the end of the game you have to run past some helicopters and that felt distinctly un-fun-unfair.
