So i got Squad awhile back when Humvees were a thing. Stopped playing and got back into it. Squad is a unique game in my opinion. It offers a different gameplay to other milsim games such as Arma or EscapefromTarkov. There is a lot that can be said on my part but i wanna sumarise most of it to spare time.

Pros:
- Graphics are pretty good (Even thought i play on a laptop and maintain around 40 fps and play on everything low it is still a good looking game)
- Sounds in this game literally make me jump sometimes (sounds relatively real compared to other war games)
- Active developers (They are always working on ways to improve gameplay and content within squad)
- Community - this is 2 way street might i say. There are times when certain people or communities can be super helpful and great fun to be around. Other times you might end up with salty enraged players just being toxic and messing up the vibe of the game. But overall the community and players are fairly really cool and helpful.
- gameplay is certainly fun, even when losing it can still be fun sometimes.

Cons:
- As said the community and certain players can be a pain sometimes
- few maps need to be better optimised for performance because at parts in maps it can go from like 80 fps to 50
- steep learning curve for new players (ill elaborate on this after this)
- few bugs here and there but that is normal
- sometimes can get really repetitive and 1 game can really affect the vibe if everything goes to ♥♥♥♥
- energy consuming (Yea thats real)

So for new players what can i recommend you? If you decide to buy the game be prepared to learn new things about the game and quick. The tutorial actually helps in this game, but there is much more to learn also. I recommend joining noob friendly or new player friendly servers as people are not as strict and much more helpful to teaching new players. Youtube is a really good place to learn a lot about the game and i recommend watching a few. Also joining a community/clan is super super helpful, it allows to learn all these tips and tricks and basics but also get connected with people to play with and enjoy a more coordinated game.

Roles within the Game
- Marksman (sniper) is not like Cod or battlefield, Marksman role is a complete different game role and should operate more with the squad, it is no gun and run role. Usually ask the Squad leader what is wanted as a Sniper and what they want to then follow those orders.
- AT (anti tank) - back blast is a thing so dont fire it while friendlies are behind you. You need to learn where to hit a IFV (infantry fighting vehicle) or any armored vehicle to maximize damage and what type of AT round does what. AT's are very valuable in the heart of battle
- Squad leading - as a new player i highly recommend avoiding becoming a Squad leader, Squad leaders should be for more experienced players, as you a new player can learn from them and also increase chances of winning the game. Far too many times have i had a new player Squad lead to then be shouted at by his team mates for being trash.

Few things about the game
- There are times where when a game starts people create a squad and people join then the person who created it leaves and someone else is now incharge of leading the squad. This is so frustrating and annoying it makes me want to beat up a stuffed animal to then apolagize to it then cry to myself for smacking a stuffed animal and eating 2 tubs of ice cream till i pass out. So in theory avoid doing this.
- Have some humor to uplift your team mates, far too many times have i met players who are salty because things are not going their way, just crack a few jokes and enjoy your time to make the game play better. No need to try hard 24/7
- Helicopter flying is a bit different to other games - a bit more sluggish and harder to operate in my opinion compared to Arma 3
- Tanks and Armour - definitely should spend time learning about how to use them effectively and get a feel for how they work. Cause getting pinned by a 30mm or 120mm cannon is no fun as an opposing infantry man, especially the CRACKS over the head.
- What was the comment about being "energy consuming"? YEA, this game makes you exhausted after gameplay because it is intense and requires full focus. As a Squad leader you are tasked with so much and it can get really energy consuming and after like 1-2 games you are a roasted potato.

Overall i recommend this game and give it a 9/10 and if you are thinking about buying it, you should...
