I absolutely love this game and have for nearly 4 years now. I originally only gamed on an Xbox and even was working on a site that I wrote a review for the game for that you can see here:

http://thehiddenlevels.com/2016/03/25/joe-devers-lone-wolf-console-edition-review/

I've played further into the game here on Steam then I did when I wrote that review and the new characters have prompted me to recommend the game to those here on steam. I'm no longer participating in doing reviews and streaming or doing YouTube for gaming but this game I can't stop playing. I have a choice of nearly 2500 games on different platforms and I love this game that much!!

Kinda plays like an Xcom game but with some uniqueness to it as well. I really liked that members of my team could lose a limb and baring some medical breakthrough they were sidelined from any action. Great strategy game that I highly recommend to any strategy fan. RTS elements without being forced nor is it Turn Based either but a cross between them someplace in the middle.

Here is a stream I did of it and you can see some of my reactions first hand.

Really highly recommend this game. I think steam needs to come up with a better system than thumbs up/thumbs down. I think a 5 rating system would work much better and I might just impliment that in my steam reviews moving forward.

This game is 4 ✫✫✫✫ out of 5

New System
✫✫✫✫✫ = Get It Now you won't regret it
✫✫✫✫ = Highly Recommend It genre specific fans will enjoy it immensely
✫✫✫ = Recommended But might want to wait to see if it's supported by devs
✫✫ = Not Recommended however it might still have some redeeming factors
✫ = Avoid It like it's the plague

Took me 19 minutes to play.

Smoke a big ole spliff when you're by yourself and play this game, it might take you longer to play.

I enjoyed what they did here and I think I got the game as part of a bundle someplace so it's a bonus for me.

Oh, and when a buddy is over have them smoke a big ole spliff and play the game as well!

THIS GAME is so frustrating! I'm calling it the Dungeon Souls of card games. I've played for 4 flippin hours so far and I still can't get through the 1st dungeon. Very random unbalanced hard as heck game play.

With that being said I'm recommending it and have to many of my friends. If you are up for a challenge then it's worth every penny.

You can hear me griping about the game here but yet I kept on keeping on. This was last night and I pulled it up again today.

Update on 25th of March and almost 3 more hours I got through the first dungeon. It took getting an emulat that didn't allow poison to pass it. Now I'm hoping that I'm stronger for the next and I'll update you once I get past that. This game is so rewarding once you get past. I mean 7 hours to get through the 1st was annoying but fun and I kept on keeping on.

Second dugeon just as challenging. You will put time into this game for sure if you enjoy the actualy play as much as I do. Really makes you think!

First let me say I'm a bit bias. Any game that takes on the Metal genre is already a great game. But now can that great game become something I really love. I could name a few examples where I expected this to happen but didn't. I could also name a few that barely where even a bit better than my expectations simply cause it's claims to be a metal type game. So in this case I'll grade this game in two ways. One, how it compares to other games in general and two, how it compares in the Metal genre of games.

I did not go into this game with very high expectations. As stated previously it can't be all that bad after all it's got Metal as a backdrop. So comparing it against other games in general I'd say it met or overcame my expectations. The only negative in general thing I have to say about the game overal is the lack of graphical settings but I soon found myself forgetting about that and enjoying the story/gameplay/music/fights/explorations just to name a few things that helped me forget. I'll mention the others below when comparing it against Metal games. Seriously, great, funny story telling even if you don't get the Metal references that are a plenty. The turn based combat is simple to pick up and easy to plan your attacks. The art work isn't perfect but it sure as hell isn't any where close to the worse I've seen. Overal I'd leave you with this. I have a major gaming ADD problem and using a first time out in a game I'm lucky to play an hour. Next thing I new I was at 2 1/2 hours in this game and it was past my bedtime.

Now to compare it against other Metal games this is one of my top 2 or 3 games. Hands down the most fun, less stressful, great metal riffs (although I wish it had a bit more to begin with), and helped me totally escape reality. OH and I laughed so hard at this game. Any metal head will love the metal references. They are in your face.

Thanks Crankage Games for a fun game. I think sometimes developers forget the fun part in gaming but you sure didn't. I look forward to your next project and hope you keep puting out the fun.

Slip Slide and Away

Gotta say this racing game takes some getting used it. Like when I first played the ice levels on Super Mario Brothers. Racing on snow isn't like racing with tires on either a man made surface nor dirt. Not like racing in water or in the air. I'm a realy racing game fan and this game took me a bit to get the hang of it. You can brake and turn sharp, almost to sharp, but who am I? I've never actually been on a snowmobile and have no clue how hard they are to control when going flatout.

The lack of an online community hurts this game a bit but the single player there is plenty to do. The cusomization is nice but a bit short and there isn't any tuning options (not that I would know what to do).

I say you should pick it up only if you expect to play the single player and only if it is on sale. I really wish Steam gave a third option that was in the middle. Something like "Can't Decide" Cause that is where I would put this title.

If you'd like to get a good look at the game and see how many single player levels there are, I did did a 1st Looks video that you can view here

What a Head Trip man!

So this is Double Fine (In my top 5 of game devs) and Adult Swim Games (new to field but making crazy games like Double Fine) teamed up to make one heck of a tripped out fun with a different mechanic platformer. Great story, great controls, great graphics, great sound, just everything about this is great. I can't think up enough superlatives so I just stuck with GREAT!!

Here is my 1st looks video with my first hand unedited feelings on the game.

This game is definately reminiscent of The Banner Saga series but it follows a completly different lore. I found the turned based combat very challenging and you must read the directions before proceeding or you may miss a thing or two that will make you lose. When first playing the game it seemed very challenging but after I took the time to read the 7 page tuturial regarding combat I was able to win a flawless victory.

The art work on this game may not be to somes liking but I found it nice and reminded me of Card Hunter if you ever played that free game on here. Felt like you had pieces on a board during combat and was memoriable for me of board games I used to play with friends on a living room floor.

I did a first looks video where you can get my first impressions of the game first hand. It's kinda like what I like to do so I hope you enjoy this short video.

I know I don't have much time in this game but man is it something interesting and fun. I was recordning my 1st Look video to upload to my YouTube which I'll be providing a link if you want to watch but usually I am able to record around 15 minutes for these and I'm aware of how much time I've recorded and keep it short for so people don't fall asleep but when I finished this it was around 45 minutes. It went by so fast and I enjoyed it so much that while the video was processing for the upload I started the game back up and continued to play.

Two things I didn't enjoy at all about the game. The music wore on me rather quickly and I had to turn it off but the sound effects for the game worked well and the music is appropriate for the game just not enjoyable for me. The second issue I had with this game is that the icons for the goods you are buying and selling on the docks didn't match up with the information page and you had to hover over them to make sure you were looking at the currect thing. Oh and the video did glitch out a few times as you will see if you watch the video. Although I didn't mention it during the recording I did notice it and that is strange for a game like this that was on Early Access and isn't pushing the limits of my i7 16gb GFX 1070 gaming rig.

BUT don't let these issues stop you from getting this game if you like anything about the wild west and or trains and or simulation games. Everything else about this game was unique and fun and made me want more. I can't wait to get back to it again. This is on the top of "I Need To Play Again Soon" list.
