Fan service at its finest. Basic mechanics, but so much stupid humor makes it all worth the ride. If you hate stupid humor or SP in general, stay way clear. Otherwise, take it all in.

Idling it for cards. That seems to work. Not much else. Tearing, flickering, black screens, crashes, etc. Totally unplayable still. Meanwhile, Mad Max runs smooth @ 1080p, as do all my other AAA games, so I refuse to blame my rig. Like just about everybody else, I also already own all the "compensation" stuff, so nothing there for me either. This has been the most epic of fails in the history of fails to which all future fails will be compared.

Only consider this on a deep discount and you enjoy playing the "get the game to run playably" metagame or if they actually fix it someday. Such a shame and a wasted opportunity to make something great.

Rocksmith 2014 improves on the original in significant ways. It's obvious the developers really care about Rocksmith and getting people into the joy of playing music. I'm playing on a midrange laptop with headphones and the experience is smooth as silk. The teaching aspects are encouraging and never leave you feeling overwhelmed. The mini games are really fun and challenging such that you're getting more skills practice without really being aware of it. The setlist included is diverse enough to cover most tastes and the additional songs coming out will help keep everything fresh for the long run. Several people have complained about the tuner, but I didn't really have any trouble with it. I'm sure there will be patches that wil fine tune the package over time. Overall, I'm extremely impressed. You can't beat the feeling you get when it all comes together and you're nailing it. If you want to get started playing a guitar or bass, or you enjoyed the first Rocksmith, you need to pick this up.

Update - Holy crap, 3 years later & still going strong with Remastered!
Update 2 - Still playing nearly every week another year later. Still learning & constantly fresh with CDLC. Outstanding value.
