Probably the best RPG since BG3.

TL;DR
It's worth the $60 USD price tag easily as long as the bugs, crashes gets sorted out, so wait a week.

BUT... If you're an OG Stalker fan. Buy it. It's great since we're all used to the bugs and crashes from the original.
If you're not, still buy it but see how well you fare in the 2 hour refund window. If you crash a lot or get a lot of bugs then refund it and wait until it's sorted out.

Cons from me (Veteran Difficulty):
- A lot of graphical Anomalies (HUD flickering with FSR)
- Crashes every 10 minutes...
- No HDR in Windowed mode.
- Not happy with their version of "A-Life". It's either Bugged or they outright lied about it's features.
- Repairing costs way too much and selling weapons too little. (I break even most of the time).

The Illuminate were eradicated from the Galaxy - ignore the rumors about any "Stray Blue Lasers" as it's simply a lighting phenomenon from your support call-downs. The Illuminate have not returned. Report anyone spreading these lies to your closest Democracy Officer right away.

Better than Halls of Torment in my opinion.

5800X + 32GB Ram + 2080TI + 3440x1440 + DX11 on Medium settings gets me 40 fps or 20 when playing with friends. There has been no improvements to performance since early access that I can see.

Mission structure is still just a mess where most missions makes you travel 10-15 mins to a location, only to tell you to build up a settlement or make end-game crafting tables or structures instead of telling you to bring those structures from your main base. If you decide to try to re-craft everything, it would take hours to re-mine and smelt all the metals needed, instead you are better off if you run back to your base and collect all the structures required then run back wasting 30 minutes or so.

I was happy to see the weekly updates by the devs and over the last two years I was awaiting a big update like Prometheus to jump back in but I'm somewhat shocked at how bad the performance is, the way missions are started, the frustrating bugs and more, ad nauseam.

Dark Souls + Warframe but better.

It's glitchy on the base building and Kelvin wise right now so do not expect a base building survival, it's extremely lacking right now.. Other than that, exploring the environment and caves is a nightmare (in a good way). The graphics are the absolute best I've seen in regards to a forest and caves.

The game is great and has so many QOL you can't even get in PoE. It's worth trying out if you like PoE, MedianXL, PD2.

After getting over the difficulty bump at the beginning, the game is a blast!
