This game used to be fun. Now with every update, it's like one step forward, but then they take two step back. For one, they added a new loading screen into matches that basically waste your time. While the joining loading screen has a skip option, the exit loading does not, and sometimes it takes between 5-15 seconds for it to end. This new addition is NOT something players have asked nor wanted.

Then there are the maps, there are some good maps and there are some bad maps. The good maps, in my opinion, are Town, Forward Airfields, and Airfields for assaults. Skirmishes, the only good maps are the forest map and the village maps. I'm not mentioning the Tank v Tank or Infantry vs Infantry only maps, those are pointless and if you want to play like that, play WoTs or COD. These maps are great as the maps offer ways to attack each lane, and especially the Forward Airfield and Airfield maps, which has detour routes that connect each lane together. However, when it comes to the terrain, with that one update that revamped the vehicle movements, they essentially made it worst, as now both jeeps have a difficult time turning, and motorcycles spin out of control even more than it used to. Tanks have even more difficulty going up and over small hills as well, regardless of the weight of the tank. And the advanced setting to select maps in staged battles doesn't actually work (I deselected Factory and Mountain Town for example and they still send me to those maps on staged). Factory and Mountain Maps sucks as the terrain is difficult, to say the least, and while do they also have the interconnected routes that the other maps have, Factory is difficult as the two points of interest are too close to each other, and the capture zone in factory is also too large for players to hold. Mountain has the same thing as Factory in that the capture zone is too large, but it's only the point of interest and they are not too close to each other as the factory.

Gameplay-wise is alright, but if you enjoy playing as infantry. if you want to play a special class like tankers or recon, however, you'll be waiting a long time if you die since there is a cooldown, and if you still want to play them with the lowest cooldown, you have to equip low tier tanks and planes, but then you have to hope your little outdated class can compete, top tier classes. Did I mention they have a system that does RNG headshots? In the Adam Update, when they used to name updates after historical figures from WW2, they added a system that basically increases the chance of the next bullet that is fired to hit the head of your target, or close to it, making skill to kill almost unnecessary.

An update on tanks was released last year to mitigate Anti-Tank spams and improve tank battles, but now with new anti-tank weapons, the spam is back. Classes used to be interchangeable with one infantry, but now unless you have a really old character, you can no longer switch from infantry to pilot, or infantry to recon. And the prices for these classes are ridiculous. In the past, to buy a tanker, it originally cost around 20k, but now it cost 200K, which is more than the amount of money you earn in gameplay even if you are victorious in battle. And if you have an old character that can switch, it cost 114k to switch, which is still expensive since players usually make between 5k and 10k if their winners, and more if the battle lasts longer than an hour.

All weapons take forever to unlock or if they're already unlocked, they are too expensive that you go broke immediately. The only real way NOT to go broke like that is to buy their gold with real money. And the only way to obtain gold without money is to essentially do one first battle of the day, which grants you only 4 golds. It feels like Reto is following "sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking" that EA is doing with their games. They used to do war bonds so you can acquire more gold without having to use real money, but now you have to buy gold with real money cause they stop doing war bonds.

Strategy side of games is so slow, I hardly play it. And the prices of assault teams are also unbalanced. And you have to wait a long queue time just to replenish your assault team.

Overall, my recommendation is a solid no, game used to be fun and enjoyable, but now it isn't fun, especially since every update that comes out also came with bugs that should've been fixed before release (such as the bipods update, where MGs were so badly nerfed you're better off using SMGs or semi-auto and they did fix it, but after it was released). However, if you want to enjoy some basic infantry combat, then by all means, but do not expect players to actually cooperate with each other unless its a team of friends. In fact, expect players to either team kill you, complain about losing, or minge and reveal your location if you're trying to be sneaky.

Nitpicks (Not essential to gameplay, but still worth mentioning):
And do they even have weathers in the game anymore? I have not seen a single foggy map in staged or war since 2016. Also, why does the US faction start in Scandinavia, and not in Britain, where it makes historical sense, but German spawn in France, and not Germany.
