Game is quite fun when it works properly. Let down by the absolute braindead decisions of your troop AI. Why try and shoot at the tank which is 20 meters away blasting the AT gun you're currently manning when there's another one half way across the map doing nothing.

Could be excused if the AI would actually listen to you when you tell them to attack something, but often they straight up don't follow your commands (e.g. the AT gun, told it to attack the tank in front of it - they swing it to face but then don't even shoot and instantly rotate it back to shoot at the other tank, no surprises the close tank blows them and the gun to pieces).

Soldiers often won't shoot someone right in front of them, or get stuck in animations. They also tend to run out of ammo quite quickly, you then have to micromanage them to run back to a truck or crate or dead comrade to rearm with some rather unintuitive controls. The direct control is a cool feature, and you can use it to deal with some of the aforementioned problems, but while you're doing it, the rest of your army is dying because they are unable to take any kind of action to save themselves. Not to mention having to constantly tell medics to revive someone by trying to click on the tiny hitbox hidden in a foxhole or under a pile of bodies.

Gets pretty tedious trying to deal with 40ish babies who need constant attention when you should be focused on tactical decision making.
Also the planes fly at the speed of a grandma on a sunday drive, which looks rather silly, and also gives them plenty of time to strafe your entire army like an attack helicopter.
Some of it is a case of git gud for sure, but only some.
Really want to like this game but it quickly devolves into an exercise of frustration.

The classic remastered, lots of good quality of life changes, nice graphics. Need a better computer to run it though

Meme Battlegrounds. More fun than Fortnite and PUBG. Some server stability issues and no Australian servers yet, although the devs said they will add some.

Aside from some performance issues, I've enjoyed the intro to this game immensely. Gives me very similar feelings to the beginning of Assassin's Creed II and I'm very keen to see where it all leads.

So far the gameplay seems to be a cross between ARMA and mount and blade - with a focus on realism. You won't be taking on 5 guys at once and coming out on top on this one. Although it's probably because I'm dressed in the equivalent of a t-shirt and jeans facing fully armoured soldiers.

P.S. You do need a decent PC to run this though, even the 980ti is struggling at some points on medium settings.

No other game gets the heart pounding quite like this one

The only medieval lord/battle/conquest 'simulator' of its kind, until Bannerlord comes out sometime next year...

As long as they keep it that way I can recommend this game!
