At the time of writing this review i have had about 5700 hours clocked in on Garrys Mod, so i think i should re-create my existing review (which i have deleted) from a long time back.

To first get the elephant out of the room. This game uses other games as addons for textures and models, this can be a bit infuriating to newer players as they just spent their money to buy Garrys Mod only to learn later that they need to buy another game. Or just download textures from a website which the author has no afilliation with. in order to play without missing textures on Multiplayer as most maps and addons require the use of other games. Mainly Team Fortress 2 and CounterStrike: Source

But other than the requirement of buying a completely seperate game or downloading textures Garry's Mod is a limitless sandbox game which can be turned into pretty much anything. From a genuine sandbox game, to a serious roleplay or even a survival shooter with the inclusion of the Steam Workshop, allowing people to share their creations, maps, weapons, gamemodes and more.

I highly recommend this game and have no objections to paying full price for this game.
