Gameplay quality is way too dependent on mods and overpriced DLCs. Every Paradox game seems like the game itself is made only as a reason and foundation for the company to squeeze out money from the players by releasing additional DLCs.

If you asked me a few months ago, this game was utter crap. You would get bored very quickly and decent updates only came out once a month. There was not much diversity and the game turned into a constant grind rather than an enjoyable experience. Now though, there still are some boring aspects like moving from island to island once you are out of some resources on your island and the movement takes a bit too much time with the raft, but overall this game became much much better than it was 3 months ago. The devs seem to have hired more people and the updates are more frequent and more significant too. I know early access games get a lot of criticism but I actually trust the devs of this game, unlike the idiots at Reign of Kings for example. I expect coop to be added in a couple of months, which will make the game much more interesting but even solo it is pretty fun to play.

A great game with a huge potential, even though it is a bit easy I recommend it to you all.
