I like that this game feels more like 2 games in 1 because you have to take care of your cult which in itself is very nice, and then there is the dungeon fighting part which is also pretty fun.
Whats even better is that the more you spend time with your cult, the stronger you will be in the dungeons. This is great for those who prefer to spend more time with their cult instead of fighting, and for those who want to make the fighting part of the game easier, even on harder difficulties.

A must have game if you have a Steam Deck!

There are many aspects of old video games that I miss and love. Janky graphics, iconic-poor quality sounds, and simplicity.

Unfortunately, Zortch also presents a problem many old video games used to have: poor map design
There was not a single map where I went through a door and asked myself "Where the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to go??".

The last straw was on a map that takes place in the canyons, you go through a mine field and you find a red door in a base. You need a red card for it, but the card is behind an energy field that has absolutely no indication of how you are supposed to turn it off. No wires, no nothing.
After 30 minutes, I found out I had to go back to the middle of the map and blow up some slightly off-color rocks in the side of a cliff, and behind those rocks was a generator that I had to destroy.
On top of this, there was a green card right in front of the red card that wasn't even needed to get the red card at all....

I get that many people just say "It doesn't have a bad combat system, it's just realistic."

Welp, realistic is not nearly as fun/satisfying as non-realistic when it comes to fighting in games and movies. It's that simple.

The game is good. And no, I'm definitely not saying this with such confidence because I played it for 5 days straight before buying it.

But while the game is excellent , it makes me sad to see how many of it's fans are below 100 IQ individuals, whom can't tell the difference between "investment" and "gambling"...
I can only hope playing the game more will open their eyes!

I remember playing this game's demo over and over again more than a decade ago, wishing to play the full version one day, and I finally had the chance to play it for free on PS4 with PS+. I was so satisfied with it, I just had to buy it on steam too.

All I can say about the game is, if you liked flash (browser) games as a kid, you will absolutely adore this masterpiece!

I have been walking around town for 20 minutes straight looking for the telegraph place, no marker or any directions at all... No tutorials or guide either, very dated game, which is a shame because the setting looks interesting.

I have the memory and math skills of a gold fish but that's not the game's fault...

I have been trying to love this game ever since it launched back in 2017. I wish I could say I love Star Wars, but I can confidently say I used to love it at least, and playing a Star Wars game brings back that feeling and makes me forget what Star Wars is as of today...

This is basically the only reason I come back to this game all the time only to realize I don't ever fully enjoy playing this game. If it wasn't a Star Wars game, I wouldn't have played more than a total of 10 minutes with it.

Cons:

-Navigating the terrain is a living nightmare, both as a Hero/Villain and basic classes. Sometimes, you roll and bump into a little rock and it sends you flying out of cover, or you just play as a saber wielding character and while blocking walking into a rock or any kind of elevated surface will interrupt your blocking. Wanna climb up the small boulder/hill to get a better view as a sniper? Forget it, as everything seems to be covered in oil! (everything is slippery as hell, and cannot be climbed unless the surface isn't bumpy)

-I'm surprised nobody seems to notice the terrible hit detection in this game. Many times you can notice how an enemy's shot actually hits you or vice versa, but won't do any damage.

-Rolling/dodging is OP and stupid. Jedi Master trained in the ways of the force? Too bad! I will just roll so the force won't affect me! Bomb with the power of a C4 right at my feet about to blow up? Oh good heavens lemme just roll so the explosion will only give me a scratch!

-Aimbotters and cheaters are still everywhere, and since the game doesn't have support anymore, I doubt this will be taken care of any time soon. Playing co-op with others against AI would be good, however...

-The AI in co-op is literally aim"bot"ting. They are stupidly accurate. Don't believe me? Try jumping around as Yoda, the smallest being in the game. Every shot will hit you, except for those you block (IF the game decides your block should work, as Yoda's block constantly breaks for no reason) This issue not does not only affect ground troops however, AI tanks can one shot you while they are facing the opposite direction from 100 meters, even if you are a hero with 700+ health! Wouldn't be much of a problem if the AI didn't have infinite battlepoints to spawn enemy heroes/villains and tanks constantly... AI is also immune to many abilities such as flashbangs and all forms of mind trick, and AI Maul for example can use multiple of his abilities at once, which is not possible for players without cheating.

Pros:

-Modding. The game has a very much alive modding community, however, modding the game is not the easiest, which is a shame.

-The game has taken a turn away from microtransactions in the very beginning due to controversy, which I believe had a huge impact on other games that came afterwards. I would also like to say that the devs really poured their hearts into the game, but the support died very early for the game so I cannot get myself to list that as a pro seperately.

-The game has insanely good performance AND graphics, something that is a very rare sight even by 2017 standards, especially from EA. Bascially they nailed everything that is cosmetic in this game, from sound to models/textures/effects.

IMPORTANT:
Currently there is an ongoing community project called Kyber 2.0, which promises in-game mod integration and many other neat features. I'm eager to try it out when it is ready, but that wouldn't change my mind about giving this game a positive review as is. Get it on a sale if you *really* like Star Wars.

Game is barely hitting 50 fps on lowest settings. I have played games with much better graphics while reaching 150 fps easily.
Also tried some community recommended tweaks but barely made a difference.

I think this game was real fun for the first 70-80ish hours I played, and then it became kinda boring. I really wish there were new updates and content, but 1 year has passed since the last update as I'm writing this.

Many people complain that it isn't as good as L4D2, I think it is better. You can find some videos pointing out the things missing from this game that L4D2 had and did better, but honestly, for each of those missing things I could mention 2 that B4B has.

There is more content and ways to play with the deck system, the only aspect I liked more about L4D2 is its soul. The characters were much better there.

So if you wanna experience something that is pretty good for 50-100 hours, I recommend this game but only if there is a discount, and only with all DLCs. As I'm writing this, the Ultimate Edition costs only 14 euros which is definietly worth it.
