The game has generally improved since launch, if you can find people to play with I would highly recommend at least giving it a try.

There hasn't been an MMO with such great combat in a long time. All classes generally feel good, they're visually appealing and content has been toned down heavily for more casual play.

They're going to eventually add Solo Raids which I believe will be a great addition to new and returning players looking to not be so team dependent.

Purchased this game in hopes that it would help with long term development. Development has slogged, I don't think it's worth buying even for early access which is unfortunate considering how much potential it has. Spend your money elsewhere and come back 2-3 years later from now. Hopefully it'll be better by then.

I ran like the flash.
I looked like a scuffed version of a medieval knight.
I've never eaten so many sausages in my life.
I tried climbing a ladder multiple times until I gave up and just walked the rest of the way.
I've never realized how loud pots and pans were until I played my first match.

First and firstmost, I don't write heavy reviews, mainly due to the fact that I enjoy games on its own. If it's good it's good, if it's bad it's bad. That's just the way it is, although some games I may have a biased opinion, it's childish but that's just how I am.

To the review: PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds or PUBG, it's a survival game where you try to be the last one standing. Gaining inspiration from the movie Battle Royal. Never have I seen the movie but I do understand it is widely popular and influences many books and games. EX: Hunger Games.

To be fairly honest, PUBG is repetitive but in a somewhat good way. You're on an Island, you loot houses/shacks/bodies/buildings and then you try to be the last one alive by killing others or hoping that they die from an unforseeable event. Without a doubt PUBG is repetitive, but in the end thinking about buying the game or owning the game means you understand that. But even knowing that others will still purchase it and state that it's repetitive. The game is meant to be that way mixing in Skill/Survival Instincts with RNG (Luck basically). It's a game where getting 3rd or 2nd place won't be enough after your 20th loss. You desire to win and it'll continue to be that way until you win one. Even then you'll want to strive for more and try to spice things up by playing a roulette version of the game (Handicap).

So then what's good about the game? The game isn't good or bad. You win or lose. It's like playing Rock, Paper, Scissors with 50+ other people. You either win, or you lose. You can strategize by thinking about their next move and try to beat them, but in the end it'll have its stroke of luck with guessing (RNG). Now the real question is, can you continue to play for so long? Do you strive to win, or have a passion for winning. Do you like unlocking hidden potentials of the game such as making new strategies or suggesting things to implement in the game. Or are you a person that gives up after you've lost 3 times in a row and believes there's nothing to it but just a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

It's not the greatest game, but it certaintly isn't the worst game. Even after losing so many times i'll continue to strive for more to understand more and more about the game, to figure out ways to allow myself to win, to meet random Asians in their servers and try to speak Japanese/Mandarin/Korean to them just to enjoy myself once in a while and laugh it out. I'll continue to meet others in Discord just for the sake of meeting others and combining thoughts and strats to allow ourselves to gain a better advantage in-game and learning how far does team work goes. I'll continue to have voice chat on and hear the constant N-Words and racist sh*t everyone is most games in the lobby and contemplate at how toxic we as a community are.

Yeah you and I will lose a lot, but we'll win at one point, and do it again and again after. You and I will have great moments in our games at one point, even if it takes a while. Hell if you don't have a great game i'll gladly add you and play with you regardless of Age/Race/Gender. PUBG is raising players on a daily, if that doesn't excite you one bit then I'll say this isn't meant for you. But if it gets you excited with goosebumps then fu*k me sideways and let's have fun.
