The best racing game that offers pure, rewarding fun and still holds up technically. It's well optimized, running at 1440p on high graphics around 60 FPS even on my crappy PC

Were the launch server issues terrible? Yeah. Should Bungie have known better? Sure. Does this justify the review bombing? Absolutely not. Bungie was quick to address and fix most of the issues.

All that aside, this was a pretty good expansion and it had probably one of Destiny's best campaigns (low bar, I know, as most of them are trash). Considering Lightfall was so bad, I was kind of worried about The Final Shape. Lightfall was a wrong turn in every single way, but The Final Shape was much better and on the level of The Witch Queen. The Pale Heart is gorgeous and probably the best destination yet in Destiny. The level design is incredible, the story-telling is finally good and organic again, the tone is more consistent. This is just a great story campaign. Part of me does wish the stakes felt a little higher and the scale was larger. I wish The Witness did more.

Nonetheless, it's a good expansion and seems to be a good conclusion (so far) to the Light and Dark saga despite the rocky path and extreme highs and lows Destiny has had. We’ll see what the end has to offer. The Final Shape is something Destiny needed so bad and it delivered.
Whatever the future holds for Destiny, I’m here.

Update: Final mission released. I’m speechless. That was genuinely the greatest gaming experience of my life. THE SCALE!! To everyone at Bungie, bravo. Thank you for making such a memorable ending. You really stuck the landing, you should be proud. I will remember this for years to come.
