Hate to downvote it, was truly an amazing game on release. Poor decisions by the developers and publisher have led to this negative review.

Game took me about 11 hours to 100% on hard difficulty (excluding the achievement for beating the game on the highest difficulty)

Overall, the story and combat are very good in this game. The story is fairly short, you could probably complete it in like 7-8 hours if you did absolutely none of the side content. Sadly, there are no permanent companions which I thought would be the case when I first bought the game, there are only 3 temporary companions that accompany you during certain missions.

The combat in this game is very simplistic in design yet works perfectly. Combat revolves around your arsenal of weapons, of which you have the following: one handed and shield, 2 handed, and ranged. All three of these weapons can be swapped around and combo'd together. For example you can charge an attack with your 2-handed weapon and then immediately follow up with a flurry with your sword and board and then shoot an enemy on the other side of them.

As for defensive abilities, the player can block, parry, dodge, and roll. Which one you use depends on the scenario and each has their uses.

Now the main draw of the game are the bosses. The difficulty of he bosses varies wildly but there are some bosses where you should definitely prepare for some torture. I never really found myself getting bored in boss fights because each of them have multiple different attacks and most have multiple phases. Most bosses would take me 2-3 attempts to beat on hard difficulty but a certain marvel wannabe took me about 10-15 attempts to be able to beat.

Overall, the game is very good, there weren't very many issues that I noticed during play. The only problem I had was that it seemed as if attack canceling didn't work in combat as I would try to dodge an unblockable attack but my character would continue their shield bash anyway. I didn't encounter any bugs whatsoever during my playthrough.

Better than the first game in almost every way. The first game was a bit more balanced but that is what happens when a game has been out for a few years compared to a few months.

The Awakened King is the first of three DLC said to be released before the one year anniversary of Remnant 2. With the DLC, one additional world storyline is added to Losomn. Overall to experience absolutely everything this DLC has to offer, you are looking at about 5-10 hours of content.

The Good
-The coastal town featured in the DLC makes the scenary notably different than that of the normal Losomn experience
-After completion of The Awakened King for the first time, the normal Losomn and the additions from the DLC merge, allowing for some unique interactions with the original content
-Plenty of new gear that doesn't require a ton of grinding to obtain
-Plenty of different endings and alternate kills along with "The One True Ending" allows for a ton of replayability
-Both of the new bosses in addition to the One True King are fairly difficult when compared to the bosses in the base game
-Ritualist Archetype: Excels at crowd clear and status effect damage

The Bad
-Some of the new enemies added in the DLC are extremely annoying to deal with (fiends)
-The choice at the end is completely lacking impact as whatever choice you make simply changes the loot you get

Literally played the game for 2 hours and already experienced 4 crashes to desktop, 2 server connection losses, and other bugs with ragdoll physics and other misc bugs. Game isn't finished.

Old Styx but improved in every way except atmosphere. Many new types of enemies and gear to spice things up. However, this game tried too hard with the humor. The first Styx game had small jabs here and there that were funny but this one tries too hard. Overall though, good game. Will note, it took me about 25 hours to 100% the game compared to the 34 hours on the 1st. That being said, that is to 100% it, you can easily beat this game in like 4 hours if you just try to focus on the story.

I previously rated it as a negative review but after replaying both genestealer and space marine campaigns, it was actually a really fun game that plays like a tabletop.

An extremely short and casual experience, well worth it if you get it on discount

Can say after getting 100% in the game that although the game's controls are clunky at times. It is really an enjoyable experience.

Loved this game as a kid, still love it now
