Very simple (yet challenging on 8+ Rank songs) music game with super cute characters. The price for entry is really low for the amount of songs you get.

The only thing I wish this game would do better is to let you unlock characters easier. I get that it's basically a gimmick to get you playing every day for bonuses, but I just wish I could unlock them a whole lot faster. (I do know the DLC gives you a boost in helping that, but even with that boost it's still annoying.)

Still, that doesn't really harsh out my recommendation, just a little nitpick. It's very much worth the low price if you just wanna jam around with nice songs and cute girls.

This is a bit of a weird game. I wouldn't really call it a visual novel..at all. So I think having that in the description is a little misleading. So if that's the kind of thing you're looking for, look elsewhere for sure. The closest to that you'd get are the (wonderfully hilarious) character introductions in the game - which last all about ten minutes or so. Looking past that little issue however lies a somewhat addicting match 3 puzzle game with dating elements and of course, lewd imagery.

The dating sim portion of the game comes into play with getting information out of the girls, learning things about them and using that knowledge to answer their questions correctly to earn Hunnie (what this game calls it's EXP) - which you use to improve 8 stats which effect your play in the puzzle portions of the game. All the characters and lines are fully voiced and performed well, so trying to get all the info isn't too much of a boring chore until you start running into repeat questions. You can give each girl gifts to upgrade their Hunnie/EXP multiplier, as well as get hair styles to customize them with. You earn outfits as well, so if you're into collecting and playing dress - that's for you.

The actual dates and what I'd call the meat of the game are the match 3 puzzles. They invoke a little bit of Puzzle Quest, minus actively fighting an enemy. You're instead trying to reach a total point count with a numbered set of moves - making every match you make count. It's the first time I've played a match 3 in this way and I really enjoy planning moves ahead to make the use of matches. You can also equip items for use mid-date to alter the board or use one time abilities. This way it becomes a little bit more than your average match 3 game and it got a little addicting for me personally - a good thing for a basic puzzler to have.

It's a shame the dating sim portions are light while the VN elements evaporate in the first 7 minutes - having more around this puzzley core would make this game much better. Regardless, the way those puzzles made me think led to me honestly enjoying my time with the game.

..But hey, the art and CG in the game is pretty good. I know you're looking for that too!

Honestly one of my favorite games of all time, even if I'm not that great at it.

If you're familiar with the rise of MOBA games lately in the gaming space, then you're already a step in into understanding how the Awesomenauts roll. However, this game doesn't play like your DOTA 2's or your LoL's. It infuses 2D platforming (similar to Megaman games if you need a reference) and the aspects of a competitive MOBA into a 3v3 team fighting game. While not needlessly complicated as say Dota 2, Awesomenauts draws in that same teamwork and building up your hero feeling all while giving you very direct control of your character. (You can even play with a controller, which is super great for living room PC's)

It's not a mindless action game, as how you work together with other and how you build up your hero will determine outcomes. (Sometimes the comebacks are nuts!) Ronimo game pours an incredible amount of love into this game and this shows off in every aspect - from the artstyle, the flavor text, the menus, the sound effects and oh god the music. Sonic Picnic's themes for every hero (and even cool remix's when you're doing great at the game) are nothing short of fantastic. Pick up the soundtrack if you can.

With the recent Starstorm expansion building up, you can count on future support as well. If you're looking for a fun 3v3 Moba-type game with less of a toxic community (imo, of course) you have to hit up the Awesomenauts.

Probably my favorite entry in the BIT.TRIP series, RUNNER's quick restarts and awesome music will compliment your many 'deaths' as you collect gold bricks and kick crystals.

Music is utterly fantastic, and is worth the five bucks alone. But hey, the game itself is great too!
