Titanfall's movement-based gunplay with a pinch of Tony Hawk skateboarding across dreamy sky islands, while listening to liquid DnB is a vibe

Incredible game. 10/10

The best non-FromSoftware souls-like there is. Everything is on point from gameplay feel, art style & animation, music, mood and story. Developers especially nailed the gameplay feel and animation part, which are crucial for a well done soul-like game.

Will definitely keep on revisiting this title.

This game is a literal unfinished pile of garbage with only a few established gems of its design.

Awesome combat and class design
Great sense of a fantasy adventure & exploration
You'll never feel alone with your party of homie pawns
Colossal environments that make you feel small in the world

However, after your first 15 hours of gameplay, DD2 starts to show cracks...

Enemy variety is extremely poor, so have fun fighting your millionth pack of goblins
The main story is disappointing, almost non existent
Character plots are full of dead ends, barely introduced characters are cast aside.

Pick it up on sale when it'll have a DLC and all content that it should, otherwise don't bother.

Great sequel that improves on pretty much everything from the first game and introduces more. The story has also continued to be mature and interesting, expanding on personalities and stories of existing characters.

Performance was rather well on my end (Patch 8 playthrough) except for the first planet, Koboh , that also serves as a hub where performance was most hit. Pretty much the rest of the game was running very well without many hiccups.

Hysterically-comedic-spooky-house-type of a game.

Armored Core 6 is the "every kid's fantasy of wanting to make their very own cool mecha" made manifest.

Mecha Fantasy:

Lightweight hyper-fast mecha? Yes. A mecha with tank treads and arsenal of heavy cannons? Yes. Something in between that bunny hops or can hover and rain down destruction? Yes.

You can colour your mecha however you want, make custom decals, emblems and what not. It's all there, with a full game for 60€/$ and there's no microtransactions.

Gameplay:
The gameplay mechanics smoothly ease in to the player's mind as the game goes. Make no mistake, this game is all about build checks, not skill checks, well for the most part. By build checks, I mean that most fight encounters in this game are like a puzzle, which means you most likely won't progress, with only a single build; BUILD > TEST > ATTEMPT.

Story:
Also. the story may be cheesy and very anime at certain moments, but this is what Armored Core is at its roots and makes it have its own, unique identity.

Summary:
Summing up, it is a very good entry for anyone that wants to get into this series, because for sure I'll want to, someone souls-brained. This is what I wanted and what I got. Perfect. I've scored 88 hours of immaculate fun and I still got NG+ and NG++ to finish, to get everything I'd like from this game as of writing this review.

Highly recommend.

Just such a good sequel to amazing first game. It perfects the foundations, with which the first game started and introduces new mechanics, and much more.

Even though I have finished the main story in around 20 hours, I'm currently 60 in as of this review and I am still discovering new things; Side quests, events and items among others. I have not even reached the point of being satisfied with my build as I am constantly experimenting with lots of different archetype classes, weapons and items like rings.

Highly recommend Remnant 2. Devs are transparent with the community and are hard working on QoL features, balancing patches, and etc... Congrats to the Gunfire Games and fingers crossed for the DLC! :)
