This short visual novel really takes me back to my time in highschool, This is the closest representation I've ever seen to a realistic and relatable highschool sim, Definitely recommend!

I HAVE COMPLETED THE GAME IN IT'S ENTIRETY, This is a review post completion. YES THE GAME RUNS COMPLETELY AWFUL, THIS IS A REVIEW ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE.

I came into this game expecting something cool, and able to kind of fill the void of no Dead Space, all these years until the Dead Space Remake. This game was very clearly inspired by Dead Space in every single way, the characters, aiming at vital parts, Dismemberment, their own version of Stasis.

The things they did good was lighting, the lighting in this game is absolutely beautiful, and really shows off how lighting can enhance a lot of sections in the game, even with RTX off. The art design of the creatures really is quite grotesque, and cool looking. and the graphics are quite good in general.

On the other hand, the things they've just gotten wrong are:

- The combat feels very repetitive, even with 7-8 different creature types, they all are faced nearly the exact same, with dodging their 1 2 or 3 hit melee, then hitting them with a 1 2 3 combo with your melee weapon, and then shooting them, until repeating, until they are dead.

- The suit, which is very Dead Space inspired, feels like it missed the mark entirely, especially because the helmet completes the look, but gets tossed away shortly after you obtain it. (Side note, there is only one suit, whereas in Dead Space, there are quite a few if you include dlc, but just baseline Dead Space 1, had 6 suits, without dlc, each with their own protection and perks.)

- The map design, While the Map graphically looks pretty good, the Layout is Just awful, every single place is a small corridor/hallway, and the places that aren't, are a bit better being rooms with stairs and such. The only place I thought was a bit more well done, is the Outdoor sections of the game, that are a bit more open, before leading into very narrow tunnels again. Not only that but from time to time you'll come across 2 ways to go, one always leads to a small "side area" with supplies, and the other progresses the game, Which ones which is not clear, and if you go the way to progress the game, It locks a door behind you and often you cannot go back.

- The inventory In this game you start with 6 inventory slots, which gets upgraded to 12, when you get your suit. This isn't an issue on it's own, as Survival horror games have had anywhere from 6 inventory slots, to a Inventory management suit case, in Resident Evil 4. But the issue comes in with the games ammo and healing systems, there are 6 guns, where each uses their own type of Ammo. This already can flood your inventory fast. The medical syringes which take about 2-3 to heal your character to full health from "red" hp each take a single inventory slot for only one syringe. This felt frustrating to deal with leaving tons of healing, ammo, sellables (Which also take a full inventory slot, unstackable) behind.

- Soft Locking yourself. With the last point, ammo healing and selling goods, you need to sell often, to get enough money to buy upgrades for your guns and melee weapon. If you sell too much ammo because you'll get more later, and you fight a "mini-boss" Large enemy, Bullet sponge, somewhat common in the later parts of the game, you cannot melee this enemy, you instantly die, you need to shoot it enough for it to go down on one knee, then melee combo, then shoot it enough, then melee combo. If you sold too much ammo, you CANNOT defeat this enemy. meaning you need to spend all of your money on buying ammo, which is vastly OVERPRICED, for buying, whereas selling gives you a very small % of the cost.

- The Story, The story starts off fine, very similar to Dead space, on a deck of a ship, doing your job, and then circumstances happen and you end up trapped in a alien/zombie infested place. But then I realised, this games entire story is Just, Dead Spaces story,.. with slight changes, and lack luster.

STORY SPOILERS:

- Instead of seeing your wife, you see your partner who dies at the start of the game.

- Instead of Reconstructing a "Marker" and using Isaac as "The one" to get how create the new one, they're talking about just repeating the events to make a new "Outbreak" To find "The One" To create stronger people.

- Instead of Characters that are with you throughout the game and you learn to enjoy their company with Hammond and Daniels. You get a character who purely tells you, go here, go there, then has half a moment of redeeming dialogue, then dies. And a girl that tries to kill you for half the game, then suddenly starts to care about you, and the later bits are all about saving her.

- Instead of a big reveal at the end of the game with Isaac's girlfriend Nicole, you get a "There might be another way out." Jump scare, fade to black. The end of the game, is quite literally, incomplete. it feels like a Half way point, not satisfying at all.

OVERALL, This game is like a 4 or 5 out of ten at ABSOLUTE most, this game is TRYING to be Dead Space, but Fails in almost every way, except the dark/bloody space aesthetic. The game is ok to play through with absolutely 0 replay factor, but I'd say at most like 20-35. Wait for a sale, if you REALLY want to play this. Or better yet, Wait for the Dead Space 1 Remake. It's better in every way.

Early Access Review
I'm going to be honest, It's going to suck, Until you get good, or learn the game, but after you kinda get a grasp of what you're doing, the games great. Some things seem kinda crazy, but most of that is just standard battle royale kinda gimicks of extremely lucky runs. But the characters are cool, gameplay like league/dota etc and a pretty in-depth survival crafting kinda system, I really enjoy it.

P.S There are waifus.

I really have to say, Nioh 2 has completely out done itself. From gameplay to customization, of either character, play-style, everything. Just Wow, This game is damn near perfect. I cannot recommend this game enough. Don't miss this one.

The Review:

First off, The customization of your character, is insanely in depth, on par with that of Black desert, from being able to change each part of your face, make specific hairstyles have highlights, or the curlyness of a part of it, colours are all done with the 3 number system, letting you pick just about any shade, or colour you want, and better yet, they allow you to save a ton of custom appearances, and even share them with friends, reddit, or whoever using save codes, others can use to instantly obtain your appearance (Optional). People have even created a character that looks exactly like Kanye West. It's insane. And even then, just about any anime character you can think of, people have made and posted on Reddit. If curious the reddit for all the appearances, is: r/Glamurai

Next weapon choice, there are a total of 11 Melee weapons, (12 if you count Unarmed) and 3 ranged weapons.

The Melee are Swords, Dual Swords, Spears, Split-staff, Axes & Hammers (Same weapon archtype), Kusarigamas, Odachis, Tonfas, Dual Hatchets, and a Switch glaive. These all play totally unique to each other, from basic hitting patterns, to special active skills you can unlock throughout the game. They all seem to be quite fun, and have a high skill ceiling, It's easy to find people on youtube that you genuinely have to ask, Am i playing the same game as them? It's crazy how much you can do with each weapon.

The ranged weapons are Bows, hand cannons, and Rifles, which admittedly all play relatively the same, with the only major differences being, damage numbers, ammunition available, but lemme tell ya', There's nothing quite as satisfying as getting a head shot with the rifle.

The combinations and playstyles you can create by mix and matching stats and such, and I haven't even mentioned yet, there's tons of magic options, and Ninja tools (Ninjitsu) to further customize your gameplay, from making your weapon imbued with a specific element, to throwing lightning bolts, or creating mass explosions, or Ice spikes from the ground. Or Ninja tools from Shuriken, to Caltrops to Explosives, Even to doing the good ol' Naruto substitution Jutsu, and allowing yourself to escape death.

Furthermore in gameplay customization, you can even take the Yokai (Demons) abilities and use them in your kit as well, and just about every single demon (Including bosses) have soul cores, for you to collect and use their abilities. As you also have a Yokai form, which allows you to turn into a demon, or counter certain attacks.

There's just so much, the cutscenes feel pretty cool, the bosses are super fun to fight, some start off frustrating till you know some of their moves though. Some of the characters are likeable or cool.

The environments in this game are all pretty good, I'm genuinely shocked with how almost every map feels unique and different from one or another, although do note, some Side missions use the same maps as main missions before it, BUT it does take some effort to change those maps up, with certain pathways being blocked, or certain buildings being ruined, as if, since your last time there, the place has kind of been decaying and breaking apart.

And oh.. one of my favourite parts, the soundtracks to the bosses or mini-bosses, all just make the fight feel so cinematic or all fired up. It really gets you focused in on the fight.

In my opinion, easily one of the best games I've played, in a very, very long time. Almost a perfect score for me, if not a full perfect score. If you have any questions at all about the game, or are hesitant on getting it, leave a comment, and I'll try to answer back, this is a game you should not miss if you're a fan of any souls-like games or action RPG's.

Yours Truely.

I'd recommend this game with all my heart, as this game is possibly one of the most free form games I've played in a long, long time, no class restrictions or anything, you want to be a warrior, that uses fire spells, and smacks people with a staff to do magic damage ? Sure! You want to be a necromancer archer ? Why not! Or create yourself an avatar that uses wind earth water and fire magic, the list just goes on and on.

The game is almost the perfect turnbased RPG, as you build, play, and talk your own way, you can talk yourself out've quite a few things, stealing, fights, anything really. Going even further with the roleplay theme, you can choose preset characters that have a history in your world, and have characters that know them, and love, or hate, or are friends, or work with your character. On the other hand if you choose to make a brand new character, not one of the preset, you create that history, and change how people interact with you, entirely based on your decisions throughout the game. A decision in act 1 can change stuff much later in the game.

The combat is beautiful, actually a work of art, with combo systems. For example if they're shocked by electricity, throw a water balloon at em, or make it rain on them, stunned... or if they're on fire, throw a spell that creates an oil field below them, poof, big explosion. This is just the bare bones use of these things, some of the combos people have done on youtube and such, are absolutely crazy.

I can't help but to give this game a huge positive review, and say this game (If you're a fan of turn based RPG's) is entirely worth even its full price tag without a doubt in my mind. This game shines so bright if played with friends, but also does really well as a single player experience. The combos friends and you can pull off, are insane, but sometimes it's fun to have complete contradicting builds, and have you guys mess each other up some times. I've lost so many hours to this game, just having fun with friends, doing stupid builds, or messing around.

The story is really well crafted too, it's hard not to stay interested the majority of the time, or even if you're not, the game quite literally rewards you for exploring, there are tons of hidden quests throughout the game, and tons of ways to do anything in the entire game. for example your first real goal is to escape a place, and there are like 6 ways to do so, having entirely different routes.

For a turn based RPG, this game is in my honest opinion a 10/10.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review!

Saya no Uta was first and foremost an experience. Really well written and executed through the visual novel format. The story, characters, plot were all done very well and the game has a very suspenseful feeling of "what's going to happen next?" I really appreciate this because I feel it's a feeling lost to time as a lot of things I've played recently don't really go for that feeling anymore. Saya is truely a high tier waifu on the waifu chart. Each of the endings presents a totally different feeling which really had me going back to make sure I had each ending completed. I was not dissapointed with the endings ... But also left with a feeling of wanting more, like partially some endings didn't entirely give me a closure feeling. But were still satisfying... If that makes sense? Overall I can't help but recommend this game to anyone relatively interested in the visual novel scene as it's definitely a very interesting take on a lovecraftian feeling visual novel.

Overall experience, 9/10
Would recommend.

Very good first person MMO-lite, tons of activities to do, decent story, although most of the stories left me wanting more, but in general, very polished, I'd say well optimized, and a joy to play.

Some of the activities it allows you to do are your basic PVP playlist, being Crucible, where your builds and such do still carry over.

Gambit: PVE, and PVP. Kill enemies to get Motes, deposit motes to send blockers to enemies side, deposit enough, a portal will open to allow a player from your team to cross over, to attempt to make other players lose all their motes. (Motes drop on death.)

Strikes: If you've ever played an MMO before, it's similar to their dungeons, in this, a full party for a strike is 3 players, work together to clear the dungeon. Higher difficulty = Higher reward. But the higher end strikes, are for sure a challenge.

Raids: 6 player fireteams, take on a much larger "dungeon" with many more mechanics in each boss fight. I haven't done them all, even being a day one player of Destiny 2, back on blizzards client, (I quit a few times) but, i came back each time gladly, the only raid I've attempted (and completed) back when the game was new, was the first raid, the Calus raid. Me and my friends had a LOT of fun with it, the mechanics and such in this game rival that of top MMOs. Such as WoW, or FFXIV.

There is some other stuff to do, but, not all of it is super interesting, like farming materials to hand in to vendors on each planet, or going to planets to do simple bounties.. Although good for you to do, can sometimes leave you feeling like it's a chore.

Exotics: Exotic weapons are guns that behave overly different then other guns in the game, be it changing elements, or a mini gun, or even a trace rifle, to even a grenade launcher that shoots grenades... that walk at people? Exotics are very interesting to create different and unique builds for your class, but more so, when we get into talking about Exotic Armours. The Armours very clearly normally change something with your characters skillset, for example Hunters can get a Helmet that allows them to recover health and shields on using their class ability (dodge). Or Warlocks can empower their void tree, using a Helmet, where it allows them to get faster cooldowns on all their abilities as long as they're dealing Void damage. And Titans can make a melee build where punching enemies is sometimes your first choice instead of shooting!

This game does have some balance issues, In pvp, Bottom tree Striker Titans, are quite literally unbearable to face, they're super tanky, heal on each kill, and if they use their super move, each kill they get with it prolongs it, which feels very unfair to face most times. They aren't impossible to beat, but they don't quite feel on an equal power level either, which can lead to it feeling quite unfair.

In PvE all classes feel good, but some shine a little brighter then others, Blade Barrage Hunter, Chaos Reach Warlock, Melt bosses faster then anything else (That I've seen) which i could be wrong. But, it does feel like if i don't pick those sometimes I won't have a high impact like them.

But that's just me! You might be different. Overall doing what YOU want to do, is what will give you the most enjoyment. Find your build and just have fun with it. Doing stupid little builds and changing mods around might give you a build that you enjoy much more then anything that might be considered good, or top tier. And at the end of the day that's what it's all about.

Overall, this games definitely worth checking out, and now that it's free to play, I can't see a reason not to, Give it a shot, it's gunplay and class system is rather polished, and there is tons to do, and have fun with, bring friends for an optimal experience, but spare a few people afking through activities, the majority of the community seems rather nice, and it isn't hard to queue up and find people to play with!

GL&HF Guardian.

Final Score: 8.5/10
