i love this game but holy ****, the crashing is getting stupid, please fix and then ill recommend this game

this masterpiece has the best soundtrack my underdeveloped ears has ever had the chance to listen to in my entire 11 years of living. its like they can come and have orgasim. i wish this guy owned EA and Activision, this is a real mans game.

this game should of came to steam sooner. ever since the big combat update in 2012 i've hardly put much commitment to it. i still miss the good ole days of runescape back in 2008 - 2011. ive met friends on there since 2007 that im still really good friends with today. memorable times in certain spots like varrock big bank. world45 was my homeworld and i was always at varrock big bank skilling or arguing with people for fun and making friends arguing was an astounding experience. I have 11,000+ hours in my main account on there and it was a hell of a ride until the big update that no one could even vote against which ruined the game for everyone that played because it completely changed the foundation of the game. tons of items crashing, from then on the slowly picked back up, alot of people still played including me because i didnt want to give up and quit after playing my account for 5 years. What was the worst part about the update was all my friends quit, all my clan members quit, and my homeworld of world 45 was empty. the game 100% changed from there. slowly with more updates the game started appealing to other players of other MMO's since the reason they did the big combat update was to stand out to people that like that type of games. Nothing wrong with the combat update itself, but it was implemented in a rare unique MMO that was nothing like any other MMOs like World of war craft for example and had its own rare fanbase of people that enjoyed the 1 click combat/no abilities type of fighting that you had to do on this game. Thankfully Oldschool Runescape came out in and all the player base that liked the old combat started playing. All in all, runescape is still a decent game. if you're new to Runescape youll have a hell of an adventure, and the grinding isnt as harsh on there with tons of new content, quests, new skills, etc. The game has definitely improved a lot since it's downfall in 2012, picked back up slowly but surely, with the help of osrs release, content, and people with addictive personalities, the game still stands and I hope it stays because I still hop on to check out content/quests/catch up with friends that do still play.

I am no where near completing this game, but after 28 hours and constantly still enjoying this game, i should review it.

when you first start, you may feel lost or unable to seek for something to "go for" maybe either at the start or while you're trying to level up a certain skill to make a certain armour/weapon. The grind is real just like Runescape but the gameplay is more forgiving IMO.
I am an absolute fan of Runescape, but after spending more than 14k hours on oldschool and rs3, it just feels dull and rotten. It may be just me, but i always wanted to try to look for another MMO thats alot like runescape, aka "skill based MMO's"
if i could choose one game that has to come close to how runescape was its this game. the main thing thats accurate about this being like runescape is the fact that theres abunch of skills to level up and grind that affects your play style.
What i love most about this game is the friends that I have met along the way. That's what mattered on runescape, and I love how it matters on here aswell. Kind and gentle community that go out there to speak to you and ask if you want to battle something that you have no idea what the hell they're talking about but you come along anyway (even if you may feel like he's tricking you or luring you like some RS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) But said ♥♥♥♥ it and went along with him. i met a select few of people that were good at the game and kindly let me join in on the boss slay even though i was only level 13 but it helped me level up ♥♥♥♥ alot and give me insight on how the game is along with the players that are already inhabiting the world of Gran Skrea.
I already love this game and its still not completed. I've never had high expectations but for someone thats looking for a runescape type fix, this game fixed it immediately. grindy ass levels, needing to level up random skills to quest and craft armour/weapons/etc.
the quests are funny and entertaining as well.
I also bought this game on sale for $3 and oh man... for a big ass game with 137 potential steam achievements to unlock on a grindy game.. I knew I was going to have fun.

This game so far solo was an alright experience. It's better when you meet that one friend you click with that is also a noob like you are to help each other and compete with each other to get ♥♥♥♥ while also helping each other... lol.

This is my childhood. Just got all achievements on it, was more fun than it was when i was a kid and it was refreshing playing it again after many years on mouse and keyboard. it reminded me of half life 1. I recommend this game if you've played it on nintendo64. i wish the 2009 version of turok was on steam. i also wish bethesda picked up on a turok series like they did with doom and wolfenstein. Cheers
