good

about 1.5 hrs of gr8 banter!

This game runs badly on my gtx 970 and fx 6300 clocked at 4.6 ghz and i saw now performance difference when lowering cpu clockspeeds and the game was literally unplayable with drops into the mid 40's a lot of the time, this is an issue that needs to be fixed, or perhaps its a memory leak issue i have no idea!
i have heard good things about this game but have heard from somebody who has had issues with this game on an i54690k and the gtx 970 so no its not a major bottleneck!
please help this framerate is unbarable and cannot reccomend this game because of this :(.
its kind of sad in a way cause it looks really cool. may retry in future with other cpu!

wud play agen but the water ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ruined it

this game is great, the story is told in a non chronological order and is very engrossing as it ties into the first game and its story going further into the identity of beard and exploring the character jake's storyline which i found to be quite interesting. you are also introduced to manny pardo a police officer with a dark secret (that you will discover if you play the game) who is trying to hunt down a serial killer the police force is calling the miami mutilator (inspired by an actual serical killer active in miami in the late 80's and i believe early 90's when the game is moslty set). it also shows the player jacket before his 50 blessings incident where he fights alongside beard in a war against the russians in hawaii, this is another very interesting area of the story and helps add variety to the gameplay (you do play as beard however which is a nice touch). you are also introduced to the fans, copycat killers of jacket and other 50 blessings assassins.
when you play through the second game it feels like you are experiencing a story that had been planned out since the birth of hotline miami's first chapter.
gameplay in this game is also amazing. there is an improved lock on system and a lot of the scenes (missions) do not have a mask selection screen at the start (only the ones where you play as the fans or jake) they have a gun selection screen for beard in the war, cosmetic modifiers that grant abilities for son who i actually forgot to mention, he is the son of the russian mob boss you killed in the first game and has quite an interesting storyline, no selection screens are present for other characters, you also can get a shotgun out of your boot when playing as pardo in one level.
you can sometimes be shot from outside the boundries of your screen in some cases when you do not use the look mechanic effectively which can be irritating and there are also a few bugs i got mostly minor, excecpt for one which i only saw happen in hard mode where some enemies could walk through walls and completely butcher you, very annoying. the graphcs are good for a game made on the gamemaker engine with detailed environments and good effects when shooting or when something explodes e.g NUKE!
the presentation of this game is amazing with a brilliant techno soundtrack to carry you through the levels and somethig comparable to the hitchcock effect where your mind fills in what is not detailed in the action in this game letting your imagination run loose as you picture a guy with a shotgun running around a building gunning people down and smashing there heads against the ground, for that reason i would say this game is probably more violent (from my perspective) that something like gta or postal 2 (postal 3 was ♥♥♥♥ so... yeah).
overall i would give this game a 9.8 or a 9.9 out of ten as it is held back by some bugs but still remains as an amazing experience with a fair bit of replayability with its hard mode where levels are flipped and more enemies and more challenging enemies are added, i have completed both hard and normal mode.

so yes this game is one of the greatest games i have played in a long time and is as good if not better then the excellent hotline miami 1!

i love the art style and the gameplay, must have free indie game!!!

still fun today!!! like duke nukem, just the modern remaster was'nt ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the guy is chinese.
it makes you laugh when you know you shouldnt and its a throwback to when the game was released, its the same game!

epic oldskool shooter 420/69 IGN (joking).

i highly eccomend this to those who have not heard about it or played it before. also chesk out the new shadow warrior that came out last year, its somthing i think 3d realms should be proud to have made!

large scale battles (by that i mean LARGE), team based, instead of having the illusion of a war being fought around you sony online entertainment have actually created a massive player driven war around you that spans different provinces (i think its provinces or counties, i have no idea, just play the game to find out) and planets (i think, have'nt played it in a while so i may be wrong, oh yeah, its FREE! (with the exception of some weapon camos etc.) decent graphics.
i would highy recommend you download this game because it is one of the best f2p fps mmos out there (i know its a long name for a genre).
