Favorite fighting game of all time. The goat of all Guilty Gear games.

Alright after 100%ing the entire game, the DLC, and the secrets I can finally leave my review.

I bought this game and all of its DLC for like 9 bucks when I was sick and have almost no lifed this game since. I absolutely adore bullet hells and the way this game spins that formula on its head in a new and interesting way was exactly what the genre needed. The thing that also separates this game from other bullet hells and especially Vampire Survivors clones is just the amount of content. Even on the surface this game has so much to do, but somehow there's EVEN MORE to do under the surface. The end game has end game content, the bosses have bosses, the DLC has DLC, and the music goes so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. Just how many times the devs seemed to say to themselves, "♥♥♥♥ it, let's add more because we can" absolutely astonishes me and is the reason I love this game and it's one of my favorite games literally ever. As someone who loves achievements, I also adore the fact that game progression is tied directly to the achievements so 100%ing the game isn't tedious and is as simple as just beating the game and unlocking everything. It makes the dopamine in my brain very happy and probably the other main reason this is one of my favorite games ever. I wish more games would do this.

Much recommend if you want to play casually, or no life the game for 65+ hours like I did. The one thing I will say though, is that I NEED that Among Us DLC right NOW because now that I've done literally everything there is to do, I don't really know what to do in the game anymore and probably won't open it for a while. Now does that matter after the amount of time I put into the game already? I'll let you decide for yourself.

Either way I very much enjoyed my time with this game, and for such a low price there's literally no reason to not at least pick the base game up. Support the devs, they deserve it.

Also, I see that Street Fighter II Turbo reference. I see you Vampire Survivors.

That's crazy

I'm about to replay the first 5 bosses for the third time after getting the secret ending twice. The first time was more or less on purpose since I was exploring the area. The second time though, I got to the woman, got up to take a break and get food, and came back to the credits rolling. Too bad for my sanity, this game goes extremely hard so I will be doing it all over again.

Edit: I finally came back over a year later to finish this game and holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ man this game is so good. The music, the combat, the bosses, the story, it all blew me away. Final boss was hard as ♥♥♥♥ like it should have been and finally beating it on one health felt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing.

If you are even remotely into parry mechanics or bullet hells please please please please play this game. It's beyond worth your time.

I spent 1000 hours of my life playing this ♥♥♥♥ lol.

Really good friend of ours introduced us to this game and we proceeded to have a ton of fun messing around and making poor in game choices.

Now said friend has been completely enveloped by his bi polar episodes and has pushed all of his friends away for trying to hold him accountable. I miss him.

Good game. Recommended.

Best NRS game to date. My favorite combo is options, up up, character select when I get hit.

At least Overwatch 2 let me keep my skins from the first game... Not that I could even log in to see that I don't have them since it never logs me into the online services.
