Early Access Review
True Story: My Brother, who lives in a different state, and I were playing Palworld while in a call. I mentioned that I had to toss a load of laundry in. He said he had to do the same and we stopped for a moment to throw clothes in the washer. That was at 3am. We played for what seemed like 20 minutes. I looked at the clock and it was 8am. We then each remembered the laundry and moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer and went back to playing. Played for what felt like 20 minutes again. I glance at the time and it's 12pm. We then retrieved our clothes from out respective dryers. It took 9 hours to do a load of laundry.

When asked what Palworld is, I initially would say "Imagine ARK, but the dinos are cute and some have guns" but now I also add "Palworld is a time distortion disguised as a fun survival game. You will lose time and it will have been worth it."

Play at your own risk.

This is one of my all time favorite games. Ignore the vitriol spewed by those that look for things they don't like to comment on. Give the Free to Play version a shot and see if it is for you. If not, so be it. But, if it is, welcome. There is deep lore and exciting game play. There can be a grindy nature to it, but that can be said of all RPG style games. For me, this game can be both a major stress reliever and also an anxiety inducer in certain situations which makes me love it. I hope to see you out there.

Eyes up, Guardian!

I've become hooked on this game. I call it frustratingly fun. Think you have a plan? Wait a turn and see if you still have the same goal. Your strategy, motivations, targets can change with one roll of the dice. I definitely recommend this game, especially if you've got friends who also enjoy frustratingly fun board/card games.

I've been enjoying it so far. There is a lot you can do as you progress and unlock things that keep the game interesting and there aren't obnoxious adds or popups like some idle/click games.

This game is beautiful. Not only in the artistry of the game itself, but also in the knowledge that can be gained from the videos that you unlock throughout the gameplay. Definitely recommend to anyone who has interest in other cultures.

Want to hear music? Get the DLC. Want to move left? Better get that DLC. Want to jump? You guessed it, gotta get the DLC.

This game brilliantly pokes fun at the gaming industry and this trend of witholding content when releasing games simply to sell it to us later as DLC. The game has a low price and a high amount of comedic value. I definitely recommend.

Early Access Alpha Review

I was hyped before this game came out and was being talkled about on twitch Streams (Looking at you Geekdomo & SattelizerGames). It was touted by the Devs, who were often in those streams I mentiond, as a zombie survival game. I was excited about the game and dished out $40 for this game which will be "Free" to play thinking the focus of the game was to be zombie survival and my contribution would help the Devs. It's not.

What started out as a zombie MMO has turned into an FPS. Battle Royale has become the focus of the Devs as they see it is a cash cow. They have left the Survival aspect of the game fall away to nothingness. When I want to play an actual ZS game, I play 7 Days To Die. At least for now.

This game is of course still in Early Access Alpha, so there is a lot of potential for improvement of Survival Mode.

Modes:

Battle Royale - free for all, hardcore, 2 man teams or 5 man teams where the goal is to be the last player standing

Survival - various PvP & PvE servers

While this game will be free to play upon it's release, the whole game won't be free. Only the Survival Mode will be free. To play Battle Royale you will need either Event Tickets, which can be won by playing Battle Royale or bought for $1. That is 1 ticket per Battle Royale at $1 each or pay a $6.99 subscription fee for unlimited Battle Royal. While it is EAA, joining BR does not cost tickets, so playing now and stockpiling tickets you win is a good idea if you are like me and refuse to pay a monthly subscription for access to an FPS arena.

You can also get crates with skins for your clothing in game and can buy a key open the crate like TF2 or CS:GO.

While there are flaws, it is still enjoyable. The Battle Royale is a good time and even better when playing the team modes. The Survival Mode leaves a lot to be desired, but it's still early and they can surely make improvements before full release. I've had fun playing it with friends and that is why I am still recommending this game.

A high energy FPS with 9 character classes each with their own unique abilities. Also there are multiple game modes and maps which keep it interesting. This game is addictive.
