This is an Honest, In Depth Review
This is a game that does what DayZ simply couldn't, but without the zombies of course. Which is a nice change to see in a market flooded with zombie survival games. Next Day: Survival takes place in an imaginary country in Eastern Europe. There are toxic gas clouds which seem to be originating from an outbreak in a nuclear power plant or something of the like. Some of them also come and go sometimes, like in Litvinoka, a town in game. The clouds can sometimes cover entire towns or streets, so be wary of that. There are technically four factions in this game. Neutral, which new players spawn in as (in the only safe zone) until they kill another player, or complete the initial quest line. Looter, which makes you able to kill everybody except other Looters, unless you want to become a Traitor. Traitor, which will spawn you in the middle of nowhere (A5) with nothing nearby and a long way to walk. Not to mention you also get locked out of your storage at Neutral, although you can still be protected. Becoming Traitor is achieved by killing someone who belongs to the same faction as you (excluding Neutral,) so watch out for trolls. And then there’s Civilian, the supposed ‘good guys’ of the game, they are supposed to protect Neutrals from Looters and Traitors. If Civilians kill a Neutral, they will get -1 to reputation, and if they get enough negative rep, they will become a Looter, vice versa. There are also This game has decent combat, as it still lacks first person. Which can lead to your view being stuck inside a wall and you getting killed because of it. There are vehicles in this game as well, I believe that five spawn per server, although maintaining one isn’t easy. You need constant sources of gasoline and tool-kits, which aren’t easy to come by or cheap. So drive cautiously! Loot in this game is a joke though, you can just raid the bunker with a group of three to four guys and just punch an NPC to death and take it all over within five minutes. And don't think that any PC can run this game, as it isn't optimized well in it's current state. Clothing in this game is a necessity. Whether it be for armor protection, or just to prevent yourself from getting hypothermia. So if you don’t have clothes at night, you better have a lighter or some matches so you can make a fire just to survive to the next day. ;)

Edit: The game has long since died and there is really no point in getting it unless you have a group of friends to play with.

Although this game is quite short at the moment, I can't recommend it enough. From you having to setup traps and carefully pick your targets to having to pick kills off your enemy as they flow in through the door, you will not be disappointed with the simplistic graphics and arguably smart ai on the higher difficulties. Nonetheless I can't wait for this game to become a full release.

A quite fantastic and vibrant game with very few spottable errors. An overall phenomenal experience, free or not.

You can't beat the price of this game, whether you got it for free from HumbleBundle, or paid for it, you won't regret it for the quality of this game! Sure, it's almost a decade old but that doesn't change the ammount of work that went into this. This is one of the best zombie games/franchises ever made along-side the Left 4 Dead series. It's a classic, and the price makes it even better! The community is great also from my experiences, if that even counts for anything coming from a guy with like 1hr on the game.
