Wonderfully fun little rougelite dungeon crawler with deceptively simple combat, a plethora of unlockables, secrets and charm. Challenges that, at first seem impossible, you will feel like a master-tactician when you inevitably crush. (Seriously, I just killed a difficult enemy BEFORE the first round and felt god-like) Daily challenges and the many level rewards will keep you coming back with a "one more run" attitude every day.

Now, the game isn't revolutionizing the genre but I highly recommend it, especially at the low price.

This short, sweet metroidvania is as fun to play as it is charming in it's visual style. The simplicity of the PS1/N64 era graphics pair perfectly with the games fairly mysterious tone. Of course, as you progress, you steadily build up abilities, most of which expand your movement capabilities until you are flying though the maps. That, coupled with how tight the controls are, makes navigating feel like second nature (even if you get a bit lost.) I found the difficulty to be perfect for a game of it's size; meaning there are plenty of challenging platforming segments and hard to get upgrades but, overall, you can beat it in a few hours. There's also quite a few little Easter eggs I found during my play-through, plus I beat it without all the upgrade or even all the abilities which makes for great replay value.

The only thing I'll say that may detract for you is that, if you're looking for in-depth combat, this isn't it. Zipping around enemies and getting your hits in is a lot of fun, it's just not the main focus of the game. Though the mechanic of having to retrieve your weapon after you take a big hit can make it get a bit heart-pounding as you need it in order to either heal and keep fighting or use it to get away.

Conclusion: Pseudoregalia is absolutely worth picking up for the fun, fast-paced platforming and a style that screenshots can't do justice. Support the dev(s).

This game is everything it promises to be and more. Not only is the game-play engaging enough to keep you playing, the mystery of everything from the lore to the language to the INSTRUCTIONS TO THE GAME will keep you coming back to this charming world. There are secrets around every corner and with each leap of faith, you are duly rewarded.

My only problem is that I can't put it down and also that one boss (you know the one). I'm a good way in and it seems fairly quick to beat so far but I can see a lot of replay value and speedrunability.

This has quickly become one of my top 15ish games of all time.

I don't usually buy these types of games, but boy was this worth it. I've already played over 15 hours in just a few days. Seemingly simple, but there's actually a fair bit of strategy and planing that can go into each run, or if you want, you can turn your brain off and play run after run.

Even if you're not big into visual novels, this is worth it. I often tell people that Steins:Gate is the best show/anime or the best time travel story. But I can confidently say that it is the best story I've ever experienced in any form. Period.
