I think it's a privilege to call yourself a Controller and it's something you have to earn,
that's... that's what drives me is that I know we have an opportunity and to really help and evolve our species and uh... I'm... I'm dedicated to that I'm.. I'm absolutely uncompromisingly dedicated.

The Cortex is here to help okay? But we as Citizens we have a responsibility. it's not just the Nexus, it's not just the Consul, you know it's not just me it's you it's everyone out there looking at what needs to be done and saying okay am I going to do it or am I not going to do it? Period. It is the time now. Now is the time, okay? It is being a controller the proles are turning to you, so you better know it. You better know it. And if you don't? *Laughs* You know... Go to the Volos Precinct and learn it. But don't say that you know it, and don't know it. You know, go and learn it. *Laughs*

And then they said... So... Have you ever seen a zealot? *laughs* And then I looked at them and thought, you know, what a beautiful thing. Because maybe one day it will be like that, you know? *Laughs* Maybe one day, you know, it will be like that. Wow... A zealot, maybe they'll just read about those in the history books man. *laughs*

I wish the world was a different place, I'd like to go on vacation, go romp and play, just do that, you know what I mean? I mean, that's how I want it to be. That's how... There are times I just want to do that. And I know... I can't. Because I know, I know. So you know, I have to do something about it. It's not you can just sit there and wish it was a different place, and then you look at it and you go: Okay, this is it. You know... I have to do something, don't I? I have to do it, because I can't live with myself if I don't.

I wanna know that I've done everything I could, everyday. And I think about those people depending... on us. And I think about that. And it makes me feel... *laughs* We've got more work to do! The Cortex needs more help. Get those spectators, you are either in the field, or you're out of the arena. And I have to tell you something. I really... It's a... It's rough and tumble, its wild and woolly and it's a blast. I'ts a blast. It's really fun because damn it there is nothing better than going out there and fighting the fight .... and suddenly you see things are better, and I do what I can, and I do it the way I do everything. *Laughs* There is no part of the way for me!

Sony changed their stance and has announced to make Playstation Network Account linking to steam accounts optional again for Helldivers 2. I can enjoy the game again with my Egyptian friend so I'm changing this back to positive.

Yeah im not playing anymore once it forces me to link a Sony PSN account. There is a reason I don't buy Playstation products anymore and this copy pasta sums it up quite nicely.

Also I have a friend in Egypt, Egypt doesn't have PSN coverage. So I guess I wont be able to play with him anymore?

A spoiler-free review as exploration and discovery are important aspects of the game.

Earth has gone through environmental collapse, crop yields are down and the sea levels are up. Basically everyone is having a bad time. The United Nations, private and corporate interests are developing their own solutions and you are at the helm of one of those solutions.

You have been hired by the Dolos corporation to administrate a large space station like ship. Your mission will be to test experimental FTL drives and other space tech to allow humanity to find a new home among the stars. However things do not go as planned and your are thrust into an emergency situation where you have to ensure the survival of both station and crew.

Pro's,
Its a colony building sim with the twist that your ship is the colony. Its very fun to explore your own massive ship and setup industry and living areas to support your endeavors.

Its very atmospheric, both music and visuals are well in tune with each other to give you a neat space experience.

Its challenging and you aren't permitted many mistakes, especially in the early game.

Cons,
It can be tedious at times, the infrastructure on your station is constantly changing as new tech develops and you will find yourself having to re-do alot of old plans to keep up.

Some of the stellar phenomena you will encounter is totally wack. Pretty much every science expedition to exoplanets is some kind of star trek mind control hallucinatory experience. Making it difficult to gauge what choice would be in your best interest.

Tips,
After reading some reviews and talking to some people a big complaint by many is that the game is too difficult. I will give you some spoiler free advice.

You are a dinky prototype station that doesn't have enough workers or resources. Your primary concern should be to stabilize food, alloys and morale. If you have these three in a closed loop you can technically eventually run the station without the need of any outside resources as you can recycle most things.

Early game you will want to mine alot of iron and carbon to feed your smelter and polymer plants.
Get your hands on as many crew as possible. However I suggest not getting more then 250 cryostasis pods onboard at the same time. Give your Cyrogenic centers time to thaw people before getting more. Its not like they are going anywhere.

Eventually you want to make as much garbage as possible with your houses and factories. You can recycle these into new alloys making the station pay for itself. I also suggest staying away from nuclear power and food production that needs water. You are better off with insect farms.

Finally, once you have jump coordinates and you can leave a system don't actually leave until you are well stocked and prepared for the next star. Staying too long in a system will give you a minor mood debuff but that will go away once you jump and its better to be sad and be prepared then dead.

I flushed €60's down the drain for a broken piece of software.

Played for around 4 hours, went to work and accidently left the game open so I have 9 hours in my libary.

Everything worked fine until around 4 hours in then it crashes every single time I try to warp out a system, I'm essentially stuck in the same Star System forever now.

I tried to refund it on steam but it was denied since I played it more then 2 hours. It's really unfair because the crashing issue only manifested itself 4 hours into gameplay. I tried many things to fix it, restarting, updating drivers, rebooting my computer but nothing worked.

2001 a space odyssey, the video game.

You play as a [INSERT ALLIGNED GENDER HERE] and are send by the RAMA corporation as a replacement bound for the moon Titan.

The level of technology used in POLLEN took somewhat of the same direction as in Fallout in this alternate timeline and the space race between the Soviets and the USA is still very much alive. Meaning there are future technologies present but it's a retro future, somewhat reminiscent of the Alien franchise and Space Odyssey.

Pros
It has great atmosphere and visuals, I myself played it on a monitor but with a VR headset I believe the experience can be enhanced futher.

The world is very interactive, I had lots of fun taking polaroids of bees present on the Colony.

There is a decent amount of content in the game that tells a backstory of what happened on the base and Minefield Games did a great job giving personality to the base occupants.

Cons
It's very short, very very short. Not worth the 20 Euro's I paid for it. I'm going to be brutally honest here the price does not reflect the amount of playtime you can experience and is somewhat on the same level as Dear Esther.

There are many items in the game that you think you can do something with but sadly cant, such as electric welder/solder irons and other assorted tools. Wich is a shame because your character supposedly does have a technical engineering background because the RAMA corporation assigns you in that field.

Final verdict
The game is good albeit short however at it's current pricing you wont get lots of bang for your buck, I finished it in around 2 hours. 2 entertaining hours though.

This game features easy too master combat controls that enable you too have easy too start up dogfights. The economy and advanced fleet combat are somewhat... Really deep and can piss you off when you dive in it. But this game has so much room for player expansion that you can fully grasp your potential in this strange Universe.

Start a mighty corperation, Fight, Trade (Or let your corp members trade for thier lazy CEO) Build your own star bases, Mine astroids, Make starbase complexes and take over space.

Or become a pirate, Make a small fleet of elite rigged ships and terrorize the spacelanes with your mighty crew.

The Universe is yours, and Unlike eve online... You can pause it and take a piss.
