my peenor so hard... hard as hell

Good game overall, has a few bugs but they're nothing too major. For $7, definitely better than many, many other things you can buy. The overall premise of the game mechanics are very interesting and I would love to see a more fleshed out version of this with more interaction between the player and the other citizens, like being able to give them better weapons or training.

most people don’t realize this but the reason it’s called brazilian drug dealer 3 is not because it’s the third game but because you play as the third drug dealer to ever exist in brazil

This is, objectively, the best game ever made. The only bad things in this game are the Leviathan boss fight and the music in 1-1, Outside of that, everything from the shooting mechanics to the weapon interactions to level design to the enemy variety and numbers is perfect. You should buy this if you like shooters even the slightest bit.

I would like to note that as many have pointed out over the years, me giving a thumbs down doesn't make this a bad game, but if you liked the original Penumbra games for their lore, you'll absolutely hate this one.
While it nails the atmosphere and is, in a lot of ways, much scarier than the original series, they butchered the plot by bringing back other characters instead of bringing in new ones. Beyond that, while I won't spoil it, the ending of Twilight of The Archaic makes absolutely no sense within the context of the Tuurngait's motivations. The voice acting also is, as others have said, terrible. While that's fine and to be expected from a free mod, it's exceptionally jarring to hear Red sounding less Russian and Clarence somehow sounding Russian if you're playing this directly after the first two like I did. This, in my opinion, is reason enough for these characters to remain dead. Amabel's VA did pretty good in my opinion, though that could be due to her voice being less eccentric in the original games, making the change less noticeable. Either way, bringing her back completely ruined the impact of her death in Black Plague.
From a gameplay standpoint, this plays a lot like Black Plague, with more convoluted puzzles in my opinion. I never had to look at a guide for Overture and Black Plague, but I often found myself referencing one to play Necrologue and Twilight as some aspects of the puzzles can so easily be overlooked. This isn't necessarily bad if you're good at puzzle games, I just happen to not be. One other issue, which is likely an issue with Amnesia's engine, is everything feels super heavy by comparison to the old Penumbra's, which can sometimes be irritating, especially with regards to moving objects that used to be light and throwable that you can now barely drag across the ground. In any case, the games were fun, even if I have my issues with them. If you've got a few hours to kill and already own Amnesia, it's not a bad time, especially if you don't have the context of the prior games. Should you do what I did and buy Amnesia just to play this mod because you finally played Penumbra in the year 2023? No, probably not, unless it's on sale.
A lot of the areas are reused from the originals, especially Requiem, which makes some sense from a narrative standpoint, except for the fact that a lot of these areas wound up sealed off, damaged, or swarming with monsters. It also makes up a large portion of both games in the mod, which contributes to my biggest overall issue with this game: it doesn't feel like it brings anything new of value to the story. It feels like the parts that were brought back were the parts that shouldn't have been/that needed no further explanation while aspects that I would've liked to learn more about were left be.

TL:DR-Good atmosphere, not bad gameplay, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ godawful story. Not for those who liked the original Penumbra games for lore, but if you just wanted more of the gameplay I think you'll have a good time.

I used to love this game. The old version was great. This game didn't stand out for survival gameplay, but for it's gunplay. The new version just isn't fun to the original audience anymore. It is more focused on survival, which takes away everything I loved about this game. I'm stuck in the middle here, Facepunch. But at the moment, no, I wouldn't reccomend it.

I've been following this game for some time, even before I had a gaming PC (although you can run this with a barebones one). It's changed a LOT since I first played it, with 3.0 Beta and whatnot. This game combines Dayz, Rust, and Minecraft. WORLD'S BEST F2P GOTY 8/8 M8 IGN

Honestly, when I saw this, I was very skeptical. A $1 sci-fi dinosaur shooter? That sounds like a terrible game. But this game had so many posittive reviews that I gave it a try-without doing ANY research whatsoever. But this is so well executed that any doubts I had vanished in the first few seconds. The whole "Fight to Stay Alive" system is very fluent as it kills you after a certain amount of times so you cant just keep killing a Raptor acd keep going. It still has revives, and as could be expected from a coop game like this, feels like a L4D clone-that's (in my opinon) better than L4D. As far as $1 games go, you can't beat this. No Pay To Win, it all comes in that $1 package. Now go buy it. Or I will find you. And don't you say "I hate shooters so this game is terrible!!!!!!" Because it isn't, unless you really do. Also, don't come crying to me if you read this ONE review, and got the game before absolutely hating it.
