If you like to character create, battle like Spyro with different spells and weapons, and feel the vibes of Ocarina of Time, this game is for you. Especially for you social goobers...you know who you are.

When I heard one developer's post discussing the game's features, I finally gave it a go at a nice price. After playing a couple of hours until the end, I have to say this is pretty awesome game with a great concept of gravity/time manipulation! If you like solving puzzles or mazes similar to Portal, this is the game for you.

Pros:
> Great animation and effects with controls similar to most Valve games.
> Challenging puzzles with satisfactory upgrades.
> Added story line to make your purpose at the test site more interesting.

Cons:
> Epilepsy warning! Your tool and certain obstacles will produce bright (and sometimes sudden) colors.
> Free falling speed varies between normal running and sprinting, which could make maneuverability a bit tricky.
> Setting very high graphics may result in variable (but minor) game lag.

Considerations:
> Control adjustments should be in-game, not before the game starts.
> Exploration is key even if certain areas may need more guidance.
> In-game voice acting and audio are not the greatest, but doable for gameplay.

Ever since I started playing this game about 5-7 years ago, I am still amazed how much it has really advanced. Here are some of the topics that may interest you in your decision:

Besides the traditional sandbox mode, you can play in other gamemodes such as Trouble in Terrorist Town, Prop Hunt, DarkRP, and more. However, I could never forget how every player can now download addons directly from the Steam Workshop. Before you mainly have to go online (such as www.garrysmod.org) for additional items, but this built-in feature proves to be very useful.

I am the biggest fan of the most popular sandbox mode; not only can you spawn props, vehicles, npcs, entities, and other crazy stuff, but you can also use the tools and addons to make your own creations or make posable objects come to life. They depend on your taste, whether you like to shoot or blow things up with weapons, become a movie director, or build your contraptions for your own advantage. In addition, you can use other games like Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal, and other famous games to utilize their props and maps into Garry's Mod.

You can also join awesome multiplayer servers and meet some cool people around, as long as you meet their rules and regulations. With a new formated list of servers available, they also show rankings according to your network capablilites and who's in it. There's always an option to create your own and play with your friends. Just be careful not to crash the server. :P

Finally, you can post your own creations using the updated Duplicator tool! However, I'm going to address its pros and cons just to be aware of its potentials:

Pros:
After you test them out, your creations can be published so that everyone can enjoy your prototypes as copies. New categories and tags allow you to search for dupes easily, even with your friends! In fact, some of them can be used to develop new ideas for your unique creation!
Cons:
Unfortunately, the tool still has problems; duplicating welded props don't act right as they do when built, and it is really hard to search for dupes that you want the most. Most of the time, welded props droop down, causing performace issues with how you use the dupes. That's why other addons like the Advanced Duplicator tool are useful to test them out before publishing. Only the most popular, most recent, or top rated dupes are choosable categories, which is hard to find the ones with the less rated or not-so-recent ones (there should be a search box to type in the dupes). Though some great features have been added with the tool, some fixes would benefit the gaming experience.

There are so many things I can keep talking about because it is a game of unlimited possibilites, but hopefully it summarizes my experiences of the game for your decision!
