With a bashful personality, Basho makes for a great addition to the Peach Beach Splash roster. She comes with a pack of cards that can help give a competitive edge in online Ranked by reducing aim accuracy of the opponent. A few accessories using her theme are also included as an added bonus.

I recommend purchasing this content when it is on sale as Basho herself is the meat of the pack while the rest of the content contributes minor to the game.

An outfit pack with clothing that makes use of the transparency mechanic in Peach Beach Splash. Highly recommended to those looking for outfits that can get soaked in the heat of the water gun action.

Elegant dress, but greatly restricted with no customization options. There are no color variants and no options to change the bra. The dress takes advantage of the transparency effect when hit by water.

Not recommended for the price due to the lack of customization.

Two costumes come with this pack with both being within the Tearable Outfits category, each with 5 color variants.

Bus-Tee is a plain costume that is just a shirt with a Japanese logo design paired with denim jeans. Nothing impressive or worth equipping for. This costume would have been more suitable to be a transparent outfit given the nature of this game.

Dengeki Bikini is surprisingly not a basic bikini and is in fact a tearable outfit. Front is shown on product description page. Back of the skirt has a cutout of a peach which acts as a window that allows the character's... peach to be visible. Overall design has a lot more flare going on compared to the Bus-Tee.

One extra that is not advertised is that the Dengeki Bikini also comes with a headwear accessory titled, Dengeki Peach Buns. The design is a pair of peaches, each with 2 bells and a tied ribbon. The accessory also comes with 5 color variants to match with the Dengeki Bikini.

I recommend this DLC for the Dengeki Bikini set alone as the Bus-Tee costume is quite boring.

tl;dr version: a fun yet flawed game, bugs and cheaters leave a poor first impression of multiplayer. Buy at a discount.

This game does leave me torn. For one, the game's basic mechanics are fun to play, but the experience of online multiplayer leaves a bitter taste of disappointing quality of life designs and lobby mechanics that are lacking.

The story to Peach Beach Splash continues off from Estival Versus and draws off minor references from the previous games, but not to the point that you will be missing out on much if this is your first Senran Kagura game. You start off with the shinobi girls being invited to an island for a water gun tournament with the grand prize being anything the winner wishes for. As the tournament progresses, the girls strive to find out what they would wish for with some being basic to others being more sentimental. Plot takes a turn, the tournament isn't as superficial as it seems, and the story ends with a set up for the next installment of Senran Kagura.

Core mechanics of the game are heavily influenced by gamepad based third person shooters and trading card games. Guns use water as ammo with the jetpack sharing the same ammo resource. Each character gets to have a deck loadout which consists of 1 weapon card, 3 pet skill cards, and 6 offense/support skill cards. Pet skill cards are AI controlled pets that hover near you each with a unique purpose, as for the skill cards, they are pretty much self-explanatory. During game rounds, your character will randomly start with 3 cards from your deck which will charge up based on the skill cost. Luck ends up being a factor with card use due to this with the AI controlled pets being a toss-up if they hit the target you are aiming for.

The dress up and shop features from the previous games make another appearance in Peach Beach Splash, but with the removal of the underwear lottery and the addition of skill card booster packs. There isn't much in terms of costumes to be purchased with the shop, although there are DLC bundles which are available for purchase, but at an unwanted bulk amount, leading to high prices for purchasable content.

Now, for the multiplayer aspect of the game. There are three modes which can be used for online play: Ranked, Free Play, and Survival. Ranked is a basic game mode with matchmaking modes of 3 vs 3 or 5 vs 5 with the map selected and game mode being randomly selected. Free Play is meant to be like Ranked, but with a lobby and more control on the rules. Survival mode is a tower defense style game where a team of 6 players pit against a hoard of minions. This area within the game suffers the most due to only 2 out of 3 modes are ever active and with the niche playerbase being so spread out globally, netcode latency issues end up being common. As of version 1.04 of PBS, the multiplayer mode still suffers from a potential crash to desktop within the multiplayer lobby.

The rudimentary online multiplayer and the bugs within the Steam release show that this game was released to the public too soon. This tears me on whether to recommend this game or not since I had fun with the content not affected by online multiplayer, but the online multiplayer apsect is a significant portion of the game. I can only recommend Peach Beach Splash when it is on discount due to this.

Set comes with the two sisters Rinka and Ranka from the game, Valkyrie Drive Bhikkuni (I recommend that game if you enjoy traditional Senran Kagura) with various accessories related to the girls.

The swimsuits are beautifully exotic and fit with any of the other Senran Kagura playable characters. A slight issue with them is that they are not destructable, so they will not take clothing damage and a Squirm Finish will cause the girl being hit to default to the base swimsuit. This can be immersion breaking due to the quick costume swap. Not sure if it is a bug or intended, but consider this when purchasing the DLC.

Recommended to those that are fans of Valkyrie Drive Bhikkuni or those wanting two characters with a strong sibling bond.

Handful of extra accessories, most are what-you-see-is-what-you-get based on the screenshots, except for a few. First off, the balloon accessory is a solid, stationary object with no jiggle bones, so no there is no reaction to movement.

The storm cloud and rainbow accessories are animated. Rain drops fall down with the cloud and the rainbow has an aura glow effect with a few animated sparkles thrown in.

Biggest selling point in the pack might be the food items, the animated accessories (mentioned above), the ninja weapons, and the legwarmers. Price is a bit much for the value, but it's worth it if at a discount.

Great for those that are big fans of Hyperdimension Neptunia. Her parka and hairstyle can be used by all characters, but Neptune is unable to have her hairstyle and hair color changed. She also lacks full clothing destruction, if that is your interest.

Also a word of warning: she quite often says "kangaru no you ni" while jumping.

A good deal for what you pay for! Set contains a bathing suit for Renka which she does not have one available in the base game. Each part is color customizeable except the sakura buns on Renka's hairstyle as they always stay the same rosey pink when changing hair color. The negative part of this pack is that the costumes themselves are a bit monotone and lack some color variety, although this is a matter of taste and other accessories can help boost appeal.

Asuka's Sakura Scarf has one of the color options to be the crimson red she normally wears which is not obtainable in the game as of now. One of the better surprises when I grabbed this pack.

I recommend this pack if you are looking for a bit of extra swimsuit costumes and accessories as it struck a decent sweetspot for price and quantity.

Short and sweet art book with character descriptions of the girls and 5 fanservice images at the end. Image quality is quite decent and looks crisp when enlarged. Only drawback is the retail price for a 14 page PDF document.

I would recommend to wait for it to go on sale before considering adding this digital art book to your collection.
