So the good news is that the gameplay is great. Most weapons are fun and intuitive to use. The game feels as good as Halo Reach or Halo 3 to play and that is it's one major plus.

Time for the negatives:

#1: Customisation- The system sucks and is a blatant cash grab. You'll barely unlock anything for free on the battlepass and whilst the battlepass price isn't horrendous, the other stuff in the cosmetic store is. I get that this is a free game technically but christ almighty it feels like Fortnite when you look at the store and see how expensive a shader is.

#2: XP Progression - Whilst this has recently been adjusted to give you a big lump of XP for your first couple of games each day, outside of that its 50XP to win or lose a match. And you need almost 1000 per battlepass level. The challenges help but are so awful that they hinder the situation (see point 3).

#3: Challenges - Because the challenges are so specific, they make people forget the core reason of playing a match - to win. Want to play big team battle and play an objective game mode? Good luck, half your team will not be anywhere near the objective because they have kill enemies with X weapon type. Need to play a certain gamemode for a challenge? Well no chance because you cant select to only play that gamemode, gotta roll the dice each match. Because of this 98% of matches have people leaving the instant it begins if it isnt what they need.

#4: Mixing gamemodes- As mentioned before, you cant choose what game mode you want to play. So if you want to just play slayer, you are straight outta luck because you have a higher chance of getting an objective gamemode. Again this just leads to people leaving, or not focusing objective play and making your matches worse.

#5: Bugs and cheaters- Typical to a free FPS, cheaters are now in and can ruin your game easily. Not to mention various bugs including but not limited to: Ghost Melee (melee hits not counting), objectives bugging out and not being able to be captured, out of bounds glitches and some wonky physics at times.

#6: Balance - Matches do not seem balanced in any way shape or form. It is often a stomp either way and rarely an even fight. I'm an above average player, not pro but decent. I will routinely top the board of my team only for 50% of the enemy team to be on par of above me in k/d. Weapon balance is a touch unbalanced at times as well, good luck getting a kill with the pulse carbine. Also the Wasp vehicle is flat out OP. On the subject of vehicles, having vehicles "announced" as they drop in just lets the heavily stacked team know when to push to steal a losing teams vehicles.

TLDR: Gameplay is good but cosmetics, challenge system and general menuing is terrible.

The only game where it takes longer for you to load in, even with a top of the line PC, so that by the time you actually get to controll your character, you are already killed by the afk farmers.

This game was just ♥♥♥♥. Stuttering graphics and fps drops galore, not to mention screen tearing and tonnes of bugs.m 0/10

What can you say about this game, for what it is its bloody brilliant. The mechanics are great, its rewarding and very very fun! Endless hours of fun, and now with the adition of Steam Workshop content, its got even more playtime.
