Old negative review below. I honestly believe that Starbreeze heard us and is actively trying everything to please the players. They had a rocky start, but the game is actually enjoyable now, and almost all requested features are now in the game. The new Heists are really fun, and the music is banging as always. We may have a resurrection on our hands.

I really hoped to love payday 3 but at the current stage it is, I just can't. I have all the achievements in payday 2 and preordered the collectors' edition, so I am definitely a "hardcore fan". The game is quite simply unfinished. It lacks core features and everything feels generic. Down to the game menu and weapons. It lacks the challenging nature of PDTH and the more fun and fast gameplay of PD2. So unless the current "operation medicbag" that targets all these issues fixes anything, there is nothing to enjoy. A shame, really.

Extremely fun game. On of if not THE best VR title out there. Easy to get in, incredible feedback and a ton of fun! 10/10

100%ing this game has become my eternal servitude

I straight up love this game! However here my unbiased opinion:
You don’t like retrying the same level. This game can be very challenging even for someone who plays many FPS-titles. It requires a lot of teamwork and coordination as well as general awareness.

You don’t like coop / depend on other players. This game has COOP written all over it. In caps. Seriously. I never spoke so much with my friends about the game and only the game. You need to manage Ammo, Health and tools etc. !NOTE! This game has no matchmaking as of now! They are working on it. But for now you have to join the discord or have 3 friends. (You can play with less but the game does not scale)

You have little time. The shortest expedition me and my friends could manage was about half an hour. It usually takes us at least an hour if we don’t fail before that. And even then you are not guaranteed to win. Even speedruns are around 14 minutes as far as I know. You figure.

You HATE horror. It’s not that creepy per-se. I can’t stand horror and would never ever see myself play a title like outlast. Yet I can enjoy this game. There isn’t much jump-scary stuff. It’s mostly just the tense atmosphere. Plus you are always (As far as I’m in the game rn) together.

Rotating maps The devs decided that maps should rotate. And they should rotate for good. Each collection of missions (Rundown) is there for a limited time. If you join now, you can experience R3. However everything that was before that is gone. So there's even more reason to play regularly.

Co-Dependent tools. Just that. You almost never can run 4x Sentries and be fine. You need people to pick the right tools and speak about the next loadout.

This game is everything us 911 Veterans wanted - AND MORE!
I love the additions they made to make the worklaod of an 112 Operator more intense.

From the giant fires which have to be fought using multiple vehicles to the events that happen more frequently (Protests, Concerts, etc.).
Furthermore one can now finally get more dispatcher to help manage the overwhelming amount of calls. Even though they still need supervision and cannot work completely alone as not all calls are worth the hassle.

,,My cat is in the tree!" -> ,,Not an emergency." (-0 Points)
,,I broke my leg!" -> ,,Well thats bad but you can just wait to be driven to the hospital" (-1 Point)
Or for example if the bomb thread is real and explodes (-16 Points)

So yeah. Make your desicions wisely.

Awesome game. The campaign is a bit short tho

The best sandbox game I ever played. It has everything yet it isn't too complex. I highly recommend this game to everyone.
The only thing that sucks about this, is that the multiplayer-mode still has it's flaws.
