Okay overall I wanna say I do like this game. It's fun experience but there is some major griping flaws. Too many sodding arenas. It really gets old and boring after a while for me and very tedious seems like every 5 minutes here is another arena with a horde of baddies. I understand this game being action but come on at least break it up. My hand and wrist got tired.

I know a lot derode the platforming aspects. I actually liked them and they are challenging and fun to me. I dont mind the linear nature of the game.

I would give the game a solid 7/10. The biggest hit I will give it is too many arenas.

I would highly recommend this game to people who have like Shantae games in the past and the pervious game Half-genie hero game. It's a good follow up. Would I recommend this game to someone who likes platforming and metroidvania style games in general who has not heard or barely of this franchise? Yes and No.

I'll explain why. Yes if you are used to more more old school style of play where the difficulty can be easy and hard then easy then hard again depending on where your at what section you are in.

No if you are a more modern gamer and didn't play old school games or wanting to play this as a first experience in the genre. There is other games that would be better fit for this.

Now with that being said. The story is good. It's what you expect. The graphics are downright good looking. The cutscenes are awesome and well drawn and animated. Sound is okay. Input lag is fine. I use a Switch Pro controller and haven't had any issues.

But all in all I really liked this game.

Okay let say right off if you're a fan of DragonBall in general you'll pretty much love this game and the pervious one. With that being said here is my review.

This game is basically what Xenoverse 1 should've been from the get go. It expanded the rpg elements and the story elements vastly. It includes charcters that are rarely seen outside the movies or maybe manga. IE Turles and Lord Slug and Bardock. The combat is bit more fluid and better done. My primary issue with the first game is as you got the higher levels the game got easier to play. That was a case of a poor AI programming. The AI is vastly superior to the pervious game. It will give you a challenge.

Some nitpicky thing I have but I think its a matter of it being a Japanese game primarly and not made for the english market. The voice and movements are sometimes out of sync but I do notice when the voice is switched to Japanese its synced. So this issue would prolly require a patch engine level. I've only had a handful of framerate issues. (Only when their was a lot of NPCs and doing a lot ki based attacks)

I've personally only experniced one crash the whole time. So I have no clue why others having issues with bugs.

I cannot comment on the Multiplayer expernice as I am not really a Multiplayer kinda guy.

8.5/10

So having played 40+ hours and getting somewhat through the story I feel like I can make a decent review for the game.

I will say if you are a long time fan of the fallout franchise or came in from when 3 was released you will more then likely like this game. If you are an old school fan from the iso-metric days you prolly wont like this game as much. But I've assume you moved on to things like Wasteland 2 and other games like that for your fix

With that being said. How is the gameplay? Pretty well done if you ask me. VATS is greatly improved. It takes more of a bullet time approach to using it. I still prefer using the run and gun style myself but its good for sniping or opening shots to get a big hit off or cripple a limb. The gunplay has gotten better from New Vegas and FO3. I can actually see they worked on the engine to work for this game and not just be an advanced ES:IV or Skyrim Mod. The game can stand on its own 2 feet that way. It kinda gives me hope for ES:VI too.

Now on to the UI. Switching between 3rd and first person veiws can be fidgety at times even with the hot key. It sometimes doesnt even register I've hit the key but I've kinda worked around that cause my mouse has a free scroll mode to switch better with. I do kinda wish the Health and Rads was bit more clear. Maybe use the Hud for the power armor for normal mode? Now on to the Pip-boy. I kinda wish there was a search function for it or something like like an auto complete for it. It would so much easier to find stuff then. But all in all the Pip is well done and functional too.

Now for the General things I like.
Removing repair for weapons
Voice acted protaginist
Really impressive and Immserive enviorments.
Love Dogmeat.
Love the weapon/armor mod system

Things I dont like:
Having Repair for Power Armor: Bad idea you already have fusion cores to manage so having to repair the armor is kinda just tedious.
Having the Power armor off the back I think is a mixed bag.
NPCs still having the mind of there own in agroing things.
The story is a bit weak as well but honestly thats always been Bestheda's thing. I kinda wonder if Obsidian made the story how'd it turn out.

In conclusion I will say this is a really fun and rewarding game. Most the issues I have are really nitpicky stuff.

Graphics: 9/10
Gameplay:8.5/10

One the first things you'll notice about this game is the art direction in this game. It's one the few games in the 2.5D hack and slash Metroidvania games that isnt just a 8 or 16bit art style. The art style is very reminiscant of the early to late 90's animation. Things like Disney Afternoon come to mind. Just done with a more modern flair.

The gameplay is spot on for this style of game. It controls like it should even if you use a keyboard and mouse. Tight responsive satasifying are the terms I'd use to describe it.

The writing in this game is okay its nothing to remember. However with that being said one charcter will stand out. Fidget can be at times annoying if you don't like that cute, annoying style. Me personally I like her.

Voice acting in this game is rather hit or miss. Dust is done well, so is Fidget but you can tell who has different equipment and not as much expernice being a Voice Actor in this game.

I will mention this game is inspired heavily by the furry fandom as well. However this mainly a taste thing. If you aren't really big on furries you may either love this game or hate it. The only real way to actually find out is to play it.

Scoring wise out of 10
Art: 9/10
Desgin: 7/10
Music: 8/10
Story: 5/10
Gameplay: 10/10
Voice Acting: 7/10
Overall : 7.5

I will recommend this game with a few minor gripes as I've only play some of it thus far. A few gripes I've had though is I personally think the diffculty scaling is too serve for most players. I'm fine with for me but i kinda like a trial and error challenge.

Secondly while whomever did Cave Johnson's voice is really accurate you do see some times where the person falls back into another accent that is prolly there own. (Prolly an inexperniced VA on a short time frame so I dont blame him).

All in all I give this game a 7.5/10 its a good mod set in the portal universe. Just rework the scale of the puzzle diffculty some and youll have one the greatest mods I've seen in a while on Source.

To alot of people this one of the crowning jewls of the Shmup genre. Me personally I would be apt to agree with this. I love this game and the port is quite well done at least there is no noticable lag in gameplay or anything like that. The menu system is a mess though and bit awkward to navigate with a control pad or keyboard.

This game is in one world Beautiful. Even on lower hardware it still looks freaking sweet. The gun play is spot on. Playing with the various nanosuit powers is fun and engaging and gives you options on which way you wanna do something. Me I prefer run and gun with cloaking. Running to one area taking out enemies and cloaking and moving to other cover.

What hasnt been said about this game? Not much really. It's a really fun open world game in the vain of GTA but a hell of a lot better done. The story is better written the missions are actually fun. The super Powers system is so fun to play with its awesome. Creative Weapon Desgin. It meant as a fun not serious game.

This is a really awesome side scrolling space ship shoot in the fashion of R-type and Gradius and Lifeforce. Don't my let my lack of minutes fool you i played mostly when with my friends list off when i didn't wanna be bothered. This game is hard and I mean classically hard if you arent famailar with this style of gameplay you will have a rough go of it. To get the best expernice out of this game it should be played with a controller like a SNES or Sega Saturn gamepad. Xbox 360 controllers need not apply.
