While still not quite up there with SOTV, Seekers of the Storm fixed just about every issue I had with it when it launched. Phenomenal DLC, had an absolute blast with it even before the changes.

I don't usually leave reviews for games, but I think it's worth it for this one.

First and foremost, I never played the beta. I don't know how the game then compares to the game now.

As it is now, the game has a lot of potential. The art style is very good, the cast of characters and play styles is diverse and memorable, and the idea of chaperoning giant monsters to battle your enemies is very cool. I do recommend at least giving it a try, if you're willing to be hopeful.

I've been enjoying the game so far. I'm still trying to find a character I "click" with, but all the ones I've tried have been fun. The idea of the game is fun, both Rush and Clash are unique gamemodes, and both are relatively fun for their own reasons. I somewhat prefer the faster-paced Rush gameplay, but the creature summoning of Clash is a unique challenge that makes you have to think about your choices more.

All that said, the game isn't perfect. There are few very minor bugs that made it through testing, but they're really not anything worth noting, if you ask me. However, the game does need a bit of work. Balance is mostly fine, but there are a few hard counters between characters. Not necessarily an issue, as the game seems to be built around that kind of thing, but it's odd to get used to. Though, I have noticed a few particularly obnoxious characters that can ignore just about anything you throw at them.

One thing I will say that's more of a personal preference, I do wish the Guardians actually DID more. Until they rampage, they sort of just sit there idly, and I feel like it's a bit of a waste of potential, personally. They don't have to do a lot, necessarily, but I feel like they should do SOMETHING, at least. Though, again, that's more of a personal preference.

If you're willing to take a risk, and give the game a shot, I'd recommend it if you like the genre. The player-base is a bit small at the moment, but I feel that this game can definitely make a name for itself in the gaming space, if the right time is put into it.

If I had to give it a rating out of ten, I'd give it a solid 6 or 7. Decent foundation, good art style, fun gameplay, but it's overall a bit bare, at the moment. I'm willing to see where it goes.
