Games have 4 categories on my first impression:
(1) Excellent Buy,
(2) Okay I'll get use to it,
(3) It is what it is but I'll keep it
and (4) This game really sucks donkay ballz - refund!

This game is "Okay,.. I guess ... I'll get use to it."

On start, I blew all my money on the WRONG cars.
Two, I'm okay like.. alright.. got it.. like .. STFU already, lets get into the action, lets get IT ON!
I don't care who is bringing in the coffee and cream, or who put their dirty undies in the clean laundry, hot wax on the nips tonite yes or no.
Don't care. Lets race already. STFU.

It's like Bugbear, Nacon, Codemasters and EA were all put in a nasty prison together and this is the non-binary mutant baby.
It's not réally old WRC or DiRT, it's something EA weird.

I guess it's okay but not great.
Again, its one of those let me get use to this ... whatever this half built zombish race brain thingy..
It would be nice to have an automatic startup setup choice and THEN move into building my own career mode thing.

Oh and the "safety first" races, where is the "governor/speed limiter cruise control assist" option... along with timed braking for driving these "youre going too fast, going too slow, going too fast, disqualified in 5 secs!" races, I mean what the dapuddle is this?

Right now, my first impression is: (drumroll)

WRC, The Stuttering Stanley Edition

It's ... Two codie-bugbear-pervs out of five EA splash screens.

I will update this review as I go along. One, to begin with, on start-up, AVOID setting up a "NACON" gamer-account-whatever bc the process of signing-up, setting-up and verifying a forced new account is TEDIOUS ASF! ▪︎ Okay, it's a light version WRC 10, which to me is good thing and it's not so pc resource heavy. ▪︎ BTW, I play with a Xbox One controller and the steering has improved, not like I'm steering a crappy fishing boat on stormy seas. It's a more streamlined version of WRC 10, co-driver voice is consistent, improved graphics, almost no game crashing. ▪︎ Had this tweaking been done in WRC 7, I might've switched exclusively to WRC - nah, I'm waiting for the next Dirt title 😁 ▪︎ If WRC 10 were a full human, this edited game would be a human with missing parts, e.g. no left nostril, no right ear, missing an arm, one of the brain lobes is gone, missing some toes, etc. ▪︎ Sooo, for Watered-down WRC 10 ☆ Three coulda, shoulda, woulda's out of Five 👻👻👻☠️☠️ ☆

I'm not a fan of flight games, me using a controller is limiting and a kb/m is so wonky for me.

I dug out a new steering yoke, levers and foot pedals out of storage. And wow! Definitely made a difference for me, I spent a couple of hours in free roam, getting the hang of these goodies.

As of this review, I love the fighter jet, I'm okay with Boeings and Airbus, the helicopters are tolerable.
Overall it's fun especially with the right gear to use 👻😺

My next boondoggle is to start with the missions (beginner to expert)
Too bad there's no achieves for this game but I'm gonna give it a shot 🥰

Right now, it's 3 taxi'ing-through-a-forest out of 5

● This feels like WRC 9 ● Sooo, WRC 10 is like WRC 9 2.0 ● However, WRC 9 feels like WRC 8 2.0 ☆ Thus, WRC 10 feels like WRC 8 3.0

After Goofy-Circus Dirt 5, I wanted a return to Dirt Rally ■ I like the "open world" feel of Dirt ● WRC 10 feels so enclosed, like I'm driving on a narrow 🦌 deer path ■ WRC 3, is somewhat Dirt-esque. Ahem, I digress.

So, here it goes ☆ WRC 8 3.0 is... ☆ Oops, I mean - WRC 10 is... 3 Random-Game-Crashes out of 5 👻👻👻💀💀

WRC 9 feels like WRC 8

Same UI with the funky cursor, which raises the question, "Why is there a mouse cursor to navigate the menu, yet there is an in-game Fanatec wheelset promotion?"
Meaning, a basic steering wheel has gamepad controller buttons or for example, it's like a RTS kb/m games menu is navigated with Xbox controller buttons.

Anyway, the drive is better, the roads feel wider an doesn't feel like I'm squeezing through a walking path or deer trail.
Graphics are improved and the gameplay is good, so if your hardware is current, then smoke em' if you got em'

Xbox One controller and Logitech wheelset friendly (concomitant with your Windows drivers) one more thing about your wheelset, some are hardware specific and will not cross play, such some Xbox one wheelsets will not play on a PC, make sure yours does.

There's a definite graphical improvement from earlier games and that improvement is definitely efficient on hardware/software/Windows resources, it's not as well as Dirt but still a much needed coding overhaul.

Graphics-wise. Beautiful 😍😘
Gameplay-wise. Always good 👍

Overall, if you're new to the WRC game series, start with 8, it's code friendly enough to run on most decade old gaming rigs.

Graphical improvements and some gameplay oddities carried over from earlier games, and it's still several step backwards with codrivers and teams but it's a video game, a mere sim·u·la·crum.

Adjustable difficulty, Xbox controller friendly, Logitech wheelset acceptable and a pleasant entertaining experience.

Improvements over WRC 5

One thing, the UI is a little better to navigate in and a step back on codriver selections, other than that, it's good.
Although, I feel like I'm driving 65 mph and the game has me clocked-in at 185 mph.

The F1 series feels 185 mph but this game must be a confused kph :D

It's controller and wheelset friendly, most of the time. Still very playable with adjustable difficulty.

An upgrade from WRC 4, it's different from it's predecessor and it takes some getting use to.

I'm a Dirt fangirl and so WRC for me is an acquired taste.
I'm a Starbucks drinker but I will drink Dunkin' Donuts coffee.
I'm into Marlboro Red smokes but I'll do Salem Menthols if I have to.
I like the black and white generic "beer" but I'll chug Busch beer too.

So it's easy to pick up, adjustable difficulty, it's Xbox controller and Logitech wheelset friendly.

I bought this, didn't care for it but I kept it. Years later, I came back to it and I appreciated it and play it now.
Your preference and mileage may vary too. Give it a shot.

Low Learning Curve. Very Easy to Pick Up

There is a different style when I play this game, it differs from Dirt but that's a good thing.
For me, this game is both Xbox controller and Logitech wheelset friendly.

In addition to your vid cards setting the in-gameplay is adjustable and can be played on maturing PC's,
