Hello everyone, today I am finally writing my feedback on MHW .... Also better known as Monster Hunter World. :-D
Monster Hunter is my favorite game in co-op series!


First of all I played my first MH on the PSP, it should stay that way for years.
As a result, Monster Hunter Freedom was my first game in the series,then followed Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and finally Monster Hunter 3rd portable, which have all inspired me.
Monster Hunter Freedom was clearly the heaviest MH in terms of input friendliness, user interface and so on.
I knew people who never got past the MH introductory digression.
It was just too difficult for them to understand the basics of the game.
However, it is always a question of attitude, so I was able to convince them that the game can have a lot of fun if you first deal with it or get really familiar with it.

Basically, Monster Hunter is about exploring an alien ecosystem, entering breathtaking landscapes and dealing with the flora and fauna of them, you should interact with them to be able to hunt more successfully. :-P
So you feel like a hunter-gatherer who has to defend yourself against fearsome beasts to survive in this dangerous environment where the law of the strongest and above all the wiser counts. *-:-)
That means that the series represents a farming paradise, where there is always something new to discover 100th of h!
Unfortunately, without an open world experience.;-P
Either alone or in groups of 4, you set off with companions to take on the task of improving your equipment bit by bit and thus being able to hunt down monsters that would have previously killed you with deadly ease , These quests are time and target dependent, after 3 knockouts and the passage of time they fail! There are different categories ... Optional quest, collect, hunt and special (event).
Further you gradually work your way up the hunter rank ladder, the harder these quests will be but the better the quest loot will be. In multiplayer quests, the invisible life indicator of the monsters also increases.
The target monsters must first be found in the corresponding area section, their traces are saved to be able to track it down, then you follow this.
Every big monster has its own special behavior and favorite resting places, which need to be kept in mind.
That means that successful hunting involves understanding this behavior of the monsters, each behaves differently in the situations ... rage, exhaustion, close to death.
Exactly how you should read the beast's visual field in order to initiate successful countermeasures. lol
It is also possible to use the combination of items that can be found in the area to create traps, and if the monster is in critical condition, it can even be trapped with certain stunning know-how.
The quest reward can then be very different than, for example, after killing the target monster.
For this purpose, the life bar and the stamina bar are essential to understand. (HUD) that can be replenished with different items. Having meals cooked is also possible!:-P Without perseverance, for example. no longer block, roll, sprint and can no longer carry out special weapon attacks, all things that are decisive advantages for the hunter's life.
Compared to other games like Dark Souls, the combat system in Monster Hunter is very generous with the stamina.
This means that the stamina bar is not reduced for most attack actions and many evasive moves.
This is a bit too unrealistic, but it is enough for high speed hunting experiences. XD
So you go on the journey with appropriate standard equipment, which consists of the melee weapon type chosen by the player: greatsword, long sword, sword and shield, double swords, lance, rifle lance, insect glaive, hammer, hunting horn and others.
On the other hand there are ranged weapons, such as the bow, light and heavy crossbows.
Each of these weapons has its own advantages and disadvantages, which begin with the choice, whether long-range or melee weapon.
For example, ranged fighters receive more melee damage from monsters, while elemental damage ... ice, fire, electrical, water and dragon are lower for them than for melee fighters.
There are also status change attacks, such as paralysis, poison, sleep and others, which, like the elemental attacks of the monsters, can also be found on some weapons. ;-)
This is also the key to defeating the beasts, since each monster has one or even several weak points of them, and the monsters also react differently to the individual weapon types!
Armor from the scales, fangs and claws of the creatures usually have exactly the same weak point!
On the other hand, there are weapons with which many monster attacks can be blocked ... Greatsword, lance, sword and shield, rifle lance, which again differ significantly in the effectiveness of blocking.
Therefore, it is always worth trying out new game styles if you are not satisfied with your current one.
Or you get to know them thoroughly in the training camp. :-)
Later there is the possibility to attach talismans and decorations to armor and thereby either acquire new skills, in addition to the activated ones, iron out weaknesses or further expand existing ones, to upgrade and thus increase their effectiveness!
There are countless ways of acquiring skills.
Examples would be attacks and increases in defense, HP bonuses, divine protection, faster recovery rate, increased affinity for weapons, blocking all monster attacks, minimizing endurance when blocking, further evasive roles, a higher invulnerability window when evading and and and and.
Talismans are made from different monster components and or through certain mining of ores in their manufacture by the blacksmith.
Unfortunately, decoration has to be laboriously gathered on the individual quests. Only very few decorations can be produced specifically.
Sometimes you get them after defeating a target monster.
Unfortunately, it depends entirely on what you get. :-/
The Felyne are cute cuddlers , who come across like cats and can accompany the hunter at every turn miauz. ;-D
They prepare meals in the hunters' house or in the canteen, accompany the adventurers on quests against the monsters and save the hunter from certain death!
They can also be outfitted with various weapons and armor. XD
Important mushrooms, plants and beetles, which are very important key elements in the combination list for all kinds of potions, for example, can not only be collected in the area, but can also be grown in a targeted manner, for your own benefit, of course. :-D



Monster Hunter World heralded a new era of monster hunting.
In it was also possible for the first time to jump on monsters with special attacks ride them and then you can bring it down for fall, with targeted hits of the weapons.
Did it find a successful development in terms of fun factor in the game.
It was wonderful to be able to greet some of the old PSP monsters on the PC again, as well as many new releases like the Anjah. , Zorah Magdaros and Nergi. ;-P
The still free crossover events took place from e.g. FF-XV, DMC and The Witcher, etc.
& in hindsight another monster managed to enter the MHW screen ... Lunastra , Deviljho and co.
That was really fantastic!
Just like the idea of The battle-hardened dragon as an event quest, without which the MHW would have appeared too easily for hunting veterans, especially without the G-rank. XD
If all of that wasn't enough, the DLC Iceborne will finally appear on January 9th, 2020, which can even beat the main game !!!
Today, modern hunting is done on a PC. lol
This is just incredible for all monster hunter fans!
