I hear a giggle in the night,
So faint, yet oh-so-near—
Like a clown that craves a friendly bite,
Yet fills my dreams with fear!

He waddles forth on spindly toes
With sharpened rubber squeaks.
He cracks a grin from ear to ear—
A ghostly buffoon who speaks:

“Hello there, friend, I’m here to play!”
He whispers through the gloom.
His eyes aglow with jokes and dread—
I cower yet laugh, consumed.

Though chilling is his shadowed form,
His jokes? They’re quite a scream.
We share a laugh at midnight’s hour—
A creepfest in a dream!
