Fallout: New Vegas but with vampires.

I haven't played a game that brought out the tears of joy in a really, really long time, but this one pulled it off.

This is normally not my style of game (musicals, visual novels, however you'd like to categorize it), but as a massive fan of Gaider's previous work (Dragon Age, KOTOR), I decided to give this a try. This felt like Dragon Age meets Life is Strange: The Musical / Visual Novel, but in the best way possible. Your choices matter every step of the way, and the musical interactivity is something I've never seen before. A tier.

The game's an awesome experience & I 100% recommend everyone to go through it.

Not the best sequel, but if you look at it as one, it's a pretty damn good standalone Dragon Age game.

Writing is a little funky in places and the story doesn't truly pick up until act 2 or even 3, but I was fully hooked once the game finally settled into a good rhythm. It was engaging, and allowed for a lot of player choice where your decisions had consequences whether immediately, or at times when you least expected them to come up. Certain twists were entirely unexpected, and the existence of a "secret" ending, which I stumbled upon on my first playthrough, was a lovely inclusion. The entire ending sequence (which took me about 4 hours to go through) was epic and reminded me of Mass Effect 2. If you've loved the ending in that game, you're gonna enjoy this one just as much.

The gameplay itself is fun and Inquisition-esque, with the combat feeling like a direct improvement over what BioWare decided to switch to in Inquisition. Fans of Origins will probably not enjoy it, but as someone who embraced the fact that BioWare changed the fighting style with every installment, I've grown to really like the route they've gone with Veilguard.

The lack of the Keep sucks, but the game is fun despite this. If you're a fan of the series, give it a try - whether that be paying full price, waiting for a sale, or simply downloading it as there's no Denuvo.

PSA: look up how to disable bloom and download the Dark Fantasy LUT. Looks like a heavily remastered Inquisition that way.

Came back to the game after an at least 6-7 year long hiatus and been loving it. Still one of the GOATs when it comes to F2P games. Grinding exists, sure, but you can get /anything/ you want by simply playing the game & trading items you drop for Platinum, i.e. the game's premium currency.

Still holds up well in terms of both graphics and gameplay, and the amount of story content is insane. Play it, whether you're brand new or a returning player like me.

paid 100 million for gloves 10/10

People who say the game sucks are thinking of Fallout 76 when it came out. Go play it - it's pretty good & pretty fun now.

there's enough grass to touch in this game that you don't really have to touch real grass anymore
