This game is an absolute masterpiece. I cannot find the words to say how much I love this game. It's a game that turns the genre of 3D platforming on its head, yet still manages to be familiar enough to the greenest of players. Even I, being experienced in Portal, got absolutely stumped to the point where I had to put the game down for a day or two. However, the game's puzzles are still simple enough that once I finished the chamber, I facepalmed and wondered why I hadn't thought of the solution earlier.

Like its predecessor, Portal 2 features the protagonist, Chell, fighting her way across the Aperture Science facility against her foe, GLaDOS. This time, there's a perky little orb named Wheatley that helps around, for the sake of comedic relief. Until the second half of the game. This part, he begins running the facility, and picks up GLaDOS's psychotic tendencies. After some self-discovery, you and GLaDOS (this time in the form of a potato) fight back before Wheatley ends up destroying the facility.

Let me just say that the story is one of the most well-written pieces I've seen. I could actually empathize with the characters, something I don't really do unless I'm really invested into the story. Mind you, all (but one; that being Chell) of the characters in this game are literal robots.
The voice acting features various talented veterans in the industry, and poses a more humorous tone to the gritty, dark (and sometimes existential) atmosphere to the game. Like, they helped carry the story line in a way that seemed like they were real, actual people at one point.

Furthermore, this game was my introduction to the Half-Life universe. Though the portal-based mechanics are a stark contrast to the platforming done in its cousin, it still manages to wrap itself in the story of the Black Mesa research facility, whilst being far enough to be a "spin-off" of Half-Life, if even that.

In conclusion, I decided to write a whole entire review to show off how good this game is. Yeah, if I enjoyed this game as much as you did, go ahead and pick it up.

The game is bussin bussin. Like, there's so many levels that you can't possibly get bored of it.

I love this game. While yes, the game is a fairly simple platformer, the inquisitiveness of the game, combined with Narrator's overbearing-yet-funny voicing of the game (thx Stamper), makes this game chiefly a Behemoth classic.

10/10, one of my favorite games to date.

This game thus far is really good, and has twists at every turn. Like, I feel scared that a cave I'm going into might be small and unimpressive, then I stumble upon a cave biome that I haven't seen before, leading into a really cool mineshaft.
I've beat like, four bosses, and I still feel like defeating some more. I haven't really felt that in a video game before in a really long time. I thought I was tired of video games for a while, but this game helped me reignite that passion. The game has a lot of mechanics that I felt overwhelmed about, but once I actually played it, it introduced them at such an easy pace that I now feel like I've mastered it.
Still, knowing I have a long way to go, I'm excited to see what my world brings me. Then, once I beat the game, I'll see how much replay value this game gives me. As far as I can see, it's both a game you can pick up and play for a few minutes, as well as a game you can plop down for a few hours on.

The only gripes I have are all technical issues on my end. It's surprising, though, how this game is optimized for PCs made in the past 15 years. Like, you'd have to not be able to run Steam if you couldn't run this game, and even then, there's probably a way to get it running.

I'm still not done with the game, but I'll update my review once I do. Until then, I highly recommend this game, and consider it one of the greatest games of all time. Great job, Re-Logic. 10/10.
