as a souls game, its pretty bad.
as a game in general, its pretty good.
by far the worst combat mechanics in any of the souls games
its really slow and the animations aren't visually pleasing
the game itself is very pretty, although the particle effects aren't that well done
the way you hold certain weapons doesn't make any sense and looks awful (halberds)
and the sounds are beyond unfitting, for example, it shouldn't make such a light *tink* noise when you're slashing a 20ft giant knight, and it shouldn't sound as if you're smacking a puddle of water every time you hit an enemys flesh. really unsure how the sound effects even made it to the finished game to be honest, but you gotta remember, this isn't a miyazaki game ( a true souls game)

overall, i'd recommend this if you're new to the souls games
but if you're a huge souls fan that hasn't been able to try this one yet, i'd recommend you save your money

-the most flawed combat system you'll ever see in any game

would recommend to experience the story and fun gameplay, although as a forewarning, once you realize how the combat system works, you'll be amazed at how bad it is, but when it comes down to hacking away at enemies you'll have a blast.

If there was such an option as recommending the game for specific people, I'd pick that option. The game is fun at first, the music, art and battle system are really awesome and have much potential, but the game is too RNG reliant, there'll be times where runs will go completely down the drain due to the most random thing happening and theres literally nothing you can do to stop it, which sucks because the game would be 10 times better if there were actual options you have in those situations to try and fix them, but there's no such thing. I really want to enjoy this game more, but the more i play the more i'm discouraged because there'll be times where I'll have heros die or have to abandon a run because of something completely out of my control. There's much room for improvement, and if there were ever to be a second game i hope the devs take the oppertunity to make the game more skill based instead of relying on RNG (EDIT: After playing the game some more and giving it another shot I decided that the rng is too much to even have a little enjoyment out of this game and if you are one who gets upset when most if not all of your progress is lost in a game due to the game itself and not you, then I recommend you steer clear of this, honestly, like i said before the rng dependance in this game just ruins it, since you rely mostly on luck rather than anything else to progress or even beat the game. 5/10, at first i thought all those guys claiming the rng ruined the game were being irrational, but now I understand what they meant and if you havent ever tried playing this game, i suggest you save yourself the wasted time finding out for yourself how bad it is and simply move on)

was once one of the most amazing fps games i have ever played when f2p was out. would recommend for anyone who likes anything fps.
i already know, after sometime, this game will be one of the most outstanding fps games ever made.
