The perfect blend between HOMM and Civilization. Nothing more to say.

The best extraction shooter i've played. It died too soon, and while indeed it had a hacker problem, YAGER made what i consider to be the most fun PvEvP shooter out there. Bring it back!

Early Access Review
Been playing alternatively between this and Dungeonborne but man-o-man DaD definitely feels like the higher quality game. Not much else to say, INCREDIBLY immersive, fun and rewarding. Play it.

Edit: it literally ended up mopping the floor with dungeonborne

♥♥♥♥ you Mithril, fix your code. One thing is to die in a fair fight or due to a wrong bet on where the exit will appear or due to making the wrong move. Another completely different to have a perfect match and then get a fatal error upon reaching the exit. By the time you get back in game you'll be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead. In this type of games, optimization is key. I love the game, it is really fun, but with this optimization issues is nigh unplayable for a lot of people, early access or not.

Really nice, haven't played a Gaijin published title since War Thunder release back in 2014 or somethig like that, but been recently playing BF1 and this manages to be as fun as that, with its own interesting quirks. The sound is incredible and is really immersive, and i'm also enjoying what i thought would be lame (AI squad). So far so good, definitely give it a try. It's also pretty historically accurate which is a step up from the BF series as of late.

Best Battle Royale i've played. There's something to be said about PUBG that goes beyond the stupidity of character customization which is a staple of the genre, or the cheaters or the jank. The game just feels "right" in a way that no other BR feels right. Every element of the design, from the gunplay to the driving to the map layout and the myriad of things that can go wrong from match to match give it a unique feel that makes it so rewarding when you finally start mastering it and no other Battle Royale can replicate.

There's also some meta-fun to be had with the in-game marketable items which to me is a win-win since i paid nothing for it and got a couple bucks worth of stuff outta just playing it.

A modern classic. Outlast being the first game from Red Barrels, truly encompasses the pedigree of the developers. Although a mechanically simple game, said mechanics are fully in service of the ambiance and narrative in a way that ends up being a lot more than the sum of its parts. With a truly fantastic sense of place and pacing, Outlast weaves a narrative that has us exploring every nook and cranny of Mount Massive, quoting horror that goes from Hitchcock to exploitation in a seamless manner while being absolutely thought provoking.

There's a wonderful sense of reality in the way that the developers approached the narrative that goes out of its way to make Outlast a game that is simply more terrifying than a lot of its peers, just by virtue of the interest it has in a really dark chapter of modern history (the MKULTRA experiments).

A fantastic OST composed by Samuel LaFlamme accentuates the dread and mystery while also being extremely blood pumping during the more intense and frantic chase sequences of the game. Its just a game that wouldn't be the same without its masterwork of a score.

Although, what shines the most is the fantastic pacing of the game, which eschews the more adventuresque sensibilities of some horror titles spiritually similar (the Amnesia games come to mind easily), in favour of a rhythm that is a lot more reminiscent of Half-Life, which is to be honest, a stroke of genius. Not gameplay wise but in it's tempo and execution, and also in the sense of interconnected linearity offered by the design of the asylum, similar to the way Valve approached Black Mesa's design.

Simply put a masterpiece of horror.

Fantastic mod that explores some really thought provoking aspects of the Combine Hierarchy and the Metrocop experience. Gameplay wise sticks to HL2 flavour pretty nicely while doing some neat tricks of its own - stealth sections, slower pace and meatier gunplay - which are executed pretty well. Pacing is pretty good, only brought down by some slightly subpar puzzles ( the exception and not the rule, which might be the case for most HL related content, even Valve's).

However, the sense of place and its approach to the Half-Life universe is commendable. A slowburn that at the beginning might seem too light on plot even for a Half-Life entry, it develops itself into a pretty compelling narrative that ties nicely into Half-Life 2 start point and ends in a sweet cliffhanger that, luckily, doesn't have to stay like that for too long since Entropy: Zero 2 is a thing.

Awesome mod, one of the best SP mods i've played for HL2.

Simply put the best modern arena shooter out there.

Bring Halo, Portal and a dose of Quake together and make them have a threesome

Extremely fun, low entry barrier but extremely high skill ceilling, cannot recommend it enough!

Let's hope for a new player surge, i want to see this game getting the playerbase it deserves.
