I played this game shortly after it entered early access. It was amazing fun, ran perfectly and the community was thriving.
I played it again today after not touching it in a year. It was like going to a wake. This game is completely unrecognisable from the game I would enthusiastically tell my friends about.

The performance is unforgivably bad, the netcode is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, bugs pop in and players are constantly rubber-banding. I have no idea where the team went wrong but I fear this game is beyond saving at this point, I obviously hope to be proven wrong.

For now I'd say go play EDF5 or Helldivers 2 (duh) if you're looking for something similar.

Skins are cool but honestly I just take any excuse I can to throw money at this game. (Please Red Barrel, sell physical Outlast Trials merch and my life is yours!)

My factory may never make my parents proud of me but that's okay, it's my factory and i think it's cool.

Died to water scavs because the world wouldn't load in and enemies were invisible. Lost everything due to the game breaking.

Ubisoft is completely incapable of making a game that just works, far cry primal blue screened my PC when trying to launch with multiple monitors plugged in, this tints my monitor a dark piss yellow on launch because it thinks I want to utilise HDR by default.

Also ♥♥♥♥ Uplay, Uconnect, whatever the ♥♥♥♥ it's called these days.

I literally just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bought this and they go and make it free on PilgrimOutpost a day later. Great that everyone can get it for free now but i don't feel good about paying for it.

This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocks and the devs should be rewarded for making one of the best non-shooter co-op games in YEARS. I cannot overstate the fun I've had playing through early access with friends and I intend to do so again in the full release.

MESSAGE REPEATS-

In terms of Vampire Survivor-likes this is right up there with Death Must Die, Yet Another Zombie Survivors and Brotato. Excellent visuals, satisfying and often tense moment to moment gameplay, a plethora of unlocks and cross-run progression.

For the asking price? You really can't go wrong.

I ain't gonna sugarcoat it. The launch has sucked, the anti-cheat is overkill (if you've ever played a game with Easy Anti-Cheat it's like that but slightly crappier, as long as you're not a complete idiot it's not gonna deal irreversible damage to your PC) BUT, the gameplay, the music, the humour, it's all excellent.

There is SO much to like about this game I really hope the bumpy launch doesn't dissuade people from buying it. There's definitely some bugs (hah, get it?) Arrowhead need to squash, I was fortunate enough to experience only a single crash in my limited playtime but the content here is more than solid.

Grab some buddies and give it a go! You can always refund it within your first 2 hours of playtime if it isn't for you.
