I didn't really have expectations going into this game, but I can already say that this is an instant classic for me. As hard as you want to make it but always fair, mostly nonlinear, good rewards for challenges.

The most apt combination of games I can think of for specifically the feel is a mix of Marble It Up, Wario World, and oddly enough The Talos Principle (although moreso for the atmosphere than the puzzles, of which I've only come across a button pushing puzzle so far)

I'm only 35% of the way through the game so I don't have the full experience yet, I can wholeheartedly recommend this game if you have any interest in 3D platformers and/or ball rolling games. To put it into perspective, I think it'd hold up compared to any game from the N64 library (which I feel is the most apt comparison with how the game feels)

TL;DR 10/10, I can't even organize my thoughts on how this game blew my expectations out of the water.

Early Access Review
Hoo buddy. If you liked Rogue Legacy 1, pick up this game. Now. That is literally all you need to know if you've played rogue legacy before.

The content is relatively lacking as of the first release, but I've still gotten a good 7 hours in because the gameplay loop is so polished. Bugfix patches are common, as well.

I can't wait to see where this game goes.

Just gonna say that this game is a $30 game that I would pay $80 for. That is all.

So... This feels like a musical sequel to my childhood, namely getting high scores on Geometry Wars: Galaxies.

If that sounds like something you like, get this game. It has a flash game vibe, but it doesn't let that vibe hold the game back.

If you're looking through the reviews and you see this, my recommendation is just to stop and get it already, as long as you like one of the following things:

- Karate Kid
- Cheesy voice lines
- Trying to hit the opponent without getting hit
- Arcade games

I happen to like all four so it's perfect for me, but this game excels in all of those categories. Seriously, pick it up. if you've only seen some stuff on it, like it was for me when I picked it up, it's so much better than you think it is.

I'm gonna finally make my review because of the sale because I want people to be reassured that yes, this game is awesome. I consider it one of those few games worth it at full price if you like the gameplay, which is fast, arcadey, and honestly is unique even though the genre is saturated. Gungeon was supposed to be a replacement, it was too slow. There are tons of knockoffs, they don't get the impact of the weapons right along with other gameplay issues. This thing is the real deal, and the modding community has been amazing. Look up Nuclear Throne Together, and then NT:TE (Nuclear Throne: Territorial Expansion)

The base game's content can be lacking, but there is intense replayability because the game is just that fun, and on top of that the modding adds in everything else you could want.

10/10, first game I ever bought on steam and I still don't regret it. Buy this game while it has the sale for yourself and as many of your friends as you can.

I never knew a game about shooting egyptian frogs as a redneck covered in bandages would be so much fun.

There's a nice balance of difficulty and whenever there's something annoying (health drops aren't consistent, you want to carry more weapons, etc) there's probably someone to pledge to for it. The scrolls also make runs unique quite fast, not to mention the weapons.

There's probably a lot I haven't seen in the game, but if you want a mindless game of shooting stuff and trying to not be shot this is a fantastic experience.
