One of the best worst games I've ever played, utter schlock from start to finish, its mostly just QTEs over cutscenes with about 4 different shower scenes. Some (serious) parts made me cry with laughter. All expected David Cage tropes were met.

Gifted by a friend, as a joke.

A free prequel to UBERMOSH and similar to that series, this is a simple concept executed in a stylish yet minimalist manner. One screen game, you control a pair of people on a bike, enemies spawn in from the left of play area, shoot the enemies and evade collisions for as long as possible.
Great soundtrack of electro metal instrumentals fits in perfectly with the visual feel of the game.
Fast paced action arcade. Tight controls. Twin sticks or mouse and kb.

Well executed simple idea. Avoid the walls and objects. The walls and objects move. Get to the edge of the screen. Do this 100 times in a row to win.
Guide your square shouldered tuxedo man through the vines of ever shifting death. A fast paced mini game of pattern recognition and spacial awareness.
The soundtrack is also worth noting since I've not heard anything like it in a game before. From start to finish a drum loop plays on repeat, moving from screen to screen changes the instrument loop that plays over the drums, these arpeggio synths, guitar fx loops sound amazing and really fit in well with the frantic nature of TTV.

Not much changed for the second UBERMOSH instalment. The same short burst arcade goodness now with a new attack, in the form of a screen-clearing smart bomb triggered by your kill counter. A new top tier gun and a host of other minor tweaks.

About my 27 hours played, I'd say roughly 20 hours were spent chasing the last achievement “Score 600+”. After bagging all the achievements in UBERMOSH, Trip to Vinelands and SWARMRIDERS my old 360 era completist habits had fully kicked in. I was regularly reaching the high 400s to low 500s with no class mods and the warlock mod but in hind sight things did get a little out of hand.

Bare bones 'bullet hell / twin stick shooter' dipped in a cyberpunk aesthetic.
Quick paced gameplay even running the timer out will only take 90 seconds.
Responsive controls. Superb soundtrack. Great price. Mouse/kb or pad. One man dev team.

Quick reflexes and enemy prioritization are the skills that you will need in OFDP. Don't let the fast paced action fool you into thinking this is some mash to win affair, mashing will only get you killed quicker. This game reminded me a lot of the combat system in the Batman Arkham series, albeit simplified and striped down to its core then applied to a 2 button mouse.
Also I got a little hint of Kung Fu Master (arcade, NES) and that fight scene from Old boy.
The visuals match the simple controls with slo-mo, special effects and a camera that zooms in to 1 on 1 fights with mini bosses adding some flare to the side on 2D view.
The sounds are straight out of those classic kung fu flicks, loads of kiai screaming, hearts ripped out of chests sound like hearts getting ripped out of chests should.

Even though this is a 2 button game, I did find the control scheme slightly awkward at first, after a few rounds of the early story mode levels OFDP's basic and some finer details clicked with me. This is one of those 'in the zone' games, where you know what needs done and you'll do it without thinking.

Special shout-out to 'the ball'. Now one of my favourite power ups from any game.

Overall, a very satisfying title with a huge story mode map and the endless challenge of survival modes. Fun for a quick 10 minute time waster, I've had a lot of entertainment hot seating this game with friends and there is enough content and variation in the gameplay to keep you curious to see what is waiting on the next stage.
Any fans of kung fu should give this one a go, same goes for people who like Divekick or weird little indie games.
