I love dying light, and the short bit I got into this game I enjoyed mostly as well. But I cant recommend it with the optimization issues, weird aspects like not being able to repair weapons, floaty movement and being able to jump OVER trucks??

Despite its many issues Dead by Daylight continues to be one of the greatest games I have played. With a huge variety of characters on either side, as well as the appeal of choosing to be the hunter or the hunted, it never fails to deliver a thrill that I have yet to find in another game even while trying multiple other games "similar" to it such as Resident Evil and F13.

Still one of my favorites, even though I dont play much anymore, this game will always hold a place in my heart.

EDIT: So the most recent update actually seems to have fixed many of the issues I complained about, or at least made steps towards it. There is now raiding, and base spawning, and you can actually play with people as a team instead of just having an indicator (you can add them to your base).

In its current state I cannot bring myself to recommend this game. This is simply due to small quality of life changes that haven't been added in months upon months despite being very important and would make the game significantly better than it is right now. This game runs well, the movement is clean (besides small vaulting animation errors and such), the gun play is fun and the variety of items is decent.

The problem lies in the fact base building not only takes a long time and a lot of effort compared to a game like Rust, but it is also damn near useless because you cant spawn in your base. That's right, you can build a base and put all your stuff in it, but you cant spawn there and who knows if you'll even get back to it considering the only spawn options that exist are random. You cant even just spawn at a safe zone so you can at least be on the side of the map you want. This simple change would make bases way more worth the time and effort but also just overall make the game significantly better.

Theres also smaller ai issues such as scavs beaming you through bushes, but I would image that's hard to code considering it would block LOS but also be able to be shot through.

This game still kinda dookie cheeks. Get it on sale or dont bother. Its nice once in a while but theres plenty of other options out there.

The game isnt exactly bad, but i dont think its very good even for 10$. The graphics are really bad on medium, ive seen f2p games with better graphics. If you know what pubg looks like on lowest settings, its basically this but this is actually worse. The game throws you right in and you get no tutorial or tips. In pvp everyone kills you no matter what, which isnt bad except its the same spawn and its very hard to find weapons. Pve is just plain boring. I believe i gave it a fair chance but its just not very good.
