Would rather just pay for the game to avoid this microtransaction nonsense. A shame that the monetization scheme is as bad as it is since everything looks very good (aside from the absolutely jarring inclusion of esports skins). I may have been able to tolerate the battlepass system, but having a storefront in which there are armor sets that cost $20 is ridiculous.

All these hours and I still haven't reached the objective.

This is mostly speaking from what I've seen out of other reviews, my playtime is obviously quite low.

The gameplay just isn't very interesting at all, and from what I've read. what I've seen is all there is. You just fly to a spot, land, and talk to a person. The game is certainly atmospheric, but it really isn't anything extraordinary. In addition, you miss a lot of the atmosphere by using the 'highways', which are the most efficient way to travel. I can't speak for the whole game's story, but the voice acting is just a bit off. Not terrible, but it sounds a bit strange and off putting.

Note: I wouldn't be leaving this review if the game wasn't so hyped and wasn't tied to a terrible community.

Put simply, this game isn't finished. It's contents don't match what was in the screenshots when I purchased it, and almost every single feature the game does have needs to be polished significantly.

This game's entire basis is modding support, and there wasn't an SDK out until days after release. I know the developer is just one man, but he definitely should have waited until after the proper tools for modding were finished.

The biggest issue I have with the game is the dedicated server support. As far as I know, there is none. This game kept being hyped up as a Garry's Mod killer, and in order to be that this game had to have a better server client than it. If dedicated servers ever do release, they need to be multithreaded, otherwise this game will be effectively pointless due to the majority of Garry's Mod's issues coming from it's extremely dated server client and it's limited map size. It seems the latter of those two issues has been fixed in Mod and Play, although I doubt this game has been pushed to it's limit in that regard. Regardless of that, dedicated servers need to be a feature as soon as possible if this game is to succeed at all, as they were the lifeblood of Garry's Mod, the very game Mod and Play wishes to usurp.

With all of that said, I could excuse every issue with this game(other than maybe the dedicated servers), if it weren't for the hype coming from the community and the dev himself. This game kept being touted as a Garry's Mod killer, and in its current state it is obviously not that. Being humble generates a lot more respect than bragging about all the features you can't deliver.

I hope the dev can make something out of this game regardless, and will be watching to see what comes of Mod and Play. That being said, I'm not optimistic.

P.S. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the Discord server for this game is awful. I'm sure not everyone on there is like this, but it's just a constant circlejerk over this game. They will literally screenshot negative reviews and make fun of them like a bunch of children(probably are children now that I think about it). I'm not sure how the moderators for that server were selected, but they're a bunch of tyrants that take criticism about as well as they'd take a 10 foot pole being shoved up their ass.

P.S.S. Initially I said that the dedicated server client would not be multithreaded. I have since learned that this will likely not be the case. It still stands that I am skeptical about the game's actual potential. Apologies for the confusion this may have generated.

P.S.S.S.S. Guys it isn't too late, this game COULD have potential. The potential for potential in this game is overflowing. If only the potential was realized, we might be able to see the true potential of this game. Potentially there will be potential for modders to make theoretical potential mods. I could potentially recommend this game for potential alone.

GTA Online is Pay to Win hellscape that is completely unenjoyable unless you're in a private lobby. If you're buying this game for the online component, I'd say save your money.

The singleplayer campaign is alright, but I didn't really care for it all that much. It's not really memorable in any way and the multiple character mechanic just kind of takes my investment out of any one character.

This is by far the worst game I have ever... smelled.
