While AGS has already had two games in their portfolio, this being Crucible and New World, their shady practices are already beginning to trickle into the Western release. Let me preface this by saying this game IS INHERENTLY P2W. But it is a fantastic game both in theory, and in action. The next few months will ultimately determine the future of this game in the West. With that out of the way, lets dive into some pro's and cons:

Pros:
This game caters to a vast audience, both typical MMO players, and the Diablo/PoE audience.

Fluid combat, that in my opinion, surpasses both Vindictus and BDO by lightyears.

An insane amount of end game content to see and enjoy once you reach Vern at around level 50.

It's a challenging game at higher item level/tiers, you WILL need to learn boss mechanics, but it isn't anything super complex to learn.

Did I mention combat?

Plenty of choices to pick from for classes, I have yet to play an MMO up until this point where I actually wanted to reach 50 on all the classes. They are seriously fun, all of them, and there are many many more left to come from the foreign versions.

Cons:

At higher tiers/item level, resource generation is slow and spotty at best. You will need to utilize islands to gain further resources for honing gear, or make alts and funnel resources made into your main, or whip out that fat wallet/purse of yours (I don't judge, id do it too if I could)

The game in its current state is missing catch-up content that the foreign versions already have, this being things like the Bridge and so on.

You can certainly make it to 1490 by playing purely free, but your success will be determined by disgusting RNG and lots (I mean lots) of grinding once you reach the higher iLevels

This game is a menu-simulator, never seen so many in a game before, and I've been playing games for nearly 17 years.

Summary:

Its a great game in nearly every aspect, if they can make the resource generation a little more fair, and boost the honing % rates you'd have an MMO that surpasses even the best of the best. Don't let my review stop you from playing the game if you're a casual player, I encourage any individual to give it a shot! There's really a gem here, flawed, but its a damn gem.

Note: This is coming from a PVE player, so I can't speak too well on PVP as I've only zerg'd a fort once.

It's a great game, plenty of grind there for those into that. The queues have certainly reduced but they can be long down right annoying during peak hours. Server performance has been great, haven't had any issues there. Looking forward to seeing how this game continues to evolve over the coming years. The combat is great here, but it could use some important features/reworks;

A stagger system - The mobs in this game can be extremely annoying, there's no native stagger system in the game, so your forced to either tank damage (as you can't cancel an attack into a dodge) or block. The only way around this is using some type of weapon that offers some type of hard CC ability. (With the exception of mobs utilizing a shield, you can stagger them once you blow through all of their stamina).

More animations for mobs - There's some serious copy paste in this game. The bears, and humanoid type mobs are by far the worst. The humans, throughout my time in Monarchs, Everfall, and Brightwood, all have the exact same attacks with some slight reskins. The bears have ONE attack and they spam it the entire time. Remember that stagger system I mentioned earlier? Well they can stagger/stun lock you, and after 2-4 attacks your dead. They are absolutely busted, they are faster than you are too, so ranged into dodge spam is the only way around that.

Rework stamina - Remember me mentioning about dodge spam? Good luck with that. You can dodge 3 times before you completely run out of stamina. The Bears, as I said earlier, are faster than you. If you don't time a dodge right, you're dead. If you run out of stamina, you're dead. You have Mana and HP potions available to you immediately, but I have yet to see anything for Stamina regen.

Mounts - Obviously this was coming. In the maps current state, I can see why they haven't added them. It's really not too tough to deal with, plenty of shrines to use as Teleporters to and from other sections of the map, or to major settlements. That being said, it does get annoying that you can't fast travel from your campfire to other places. So you do a TON of walking in this game. If they plan to expand the map, and they will, this will need to be added. Or add mounts.

Storage - I like the way they have this set up, you can craft bags that allow your character to hold more, but you'll always be dumping materials or gear into your storage within cities. You CAN transfer your storage from one city to another provided the faction you're aligned with own the city where your materials currently are, and where you want them to eventually be. Which is whatever, cool I guess. But what if your faction does meet these requirements and you want to transfer storage? Well, the system absolutely scalps you. Its EXPENSIVE to transfer storage, don't do it early on. Money is hard to come by it seems, even as someone who's nearly half way to max level.

I definitely have some bias here, I love this game, I want it to succeed, and I've played it nearly non-stop since launch. I think its worth picking up. But I do recommend those potential buyers to watch some streams or gameplay of it first. As with any game, never buy it off the rip until you see the product in action.

Early Access Review
A great "sequel" of sorts, the game is amazing. For only being in Early Access the game already seems to have more base content than what was for the 1.0 release of the first Subnautica. Nothing like diving to the depths to hear a monstrous creature less than 10 feet from you

When bungie finally left the sweaty, greasy, money hoarding anti-consumer mongoloids that is Activision this game improved ten-fold. I can absolutely recommend this game to anyone who likes a little bit of grind and a whole lot of fun. There is too much content in a game to even fully review, but I assure anyone who picks up this game you will get sucked in, and you will more than likely end up putting thousands of hours into the game in its current state. There is no p2w elements in the game (aside from small little cosmetics that can be bought, or earned extremely easily via engrams or drops) I had hundreds of hours on console before Forsaken dropped and can honestly say its a night and day difference in terms of enjoyment playing on PC, as with anything.

I have been playing this game between PC and Xbox since its release, and I can honestly say there is little to no games that can compete with the shear amount of content in this game, id wager you could easily sink 500 hours + on this game and still have room for another 500, the devs have passionately released content over the years in mind boggling amounts, yet the game does not feel bloated either. Its simple to play and enjoy, but hard to master after pre-hardmode. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes to grind out games for hours on end and get lost in this behemoth of a game

Having almost 4,300 hours in the game, I have played this game off and on for close to ten years. Its the definition of what games should strive to be. Unlimited replay value, and completely fun. The game has died off quite abit compared to what it was a decade ago, but its still pretty popular. Highly recommend this to anyone.
