Edit2: As of 14/8/2025, I've seen more of the Shader Compiling Load screen, and the Crash Report window more than the game in the past month. I give up. See you in a year.

Nothing but Bots and gatekeeping. Progressing some guardians alone is also a nightmare :)

No numbers or explanation of most perks or traits still, Guns cover half or more of the screen at any time, Seasonal Quests are cool but removing the activities entirely is awful. Repeating them once in a while is fine, but having 3x in the same quest week is obnoxious and it gets stale. See you in another 5 years :)

The Good: Fun, Tall Tale stories are fun too. Customization is great and though a little grindy, doesn't really take that long to get much of anything compared to before.
The Bad: The community, and the servers. Spend 5+ minutes just sitting diving, if not stuck with minute+ black screens while listening to your ship sink. Bonus points if you get the typical hot-mics with the racism that goes apparently unchecked and unpunished. Ladder exploits still exist, as well as tons of blatant cheaters.
If you plan to play solo, don't unless your only goal is to vibe. Can't do a lot of commendations or start any emissary on Safer Seas. Spawn camping is still rampant and really nothing to do about it solo. "Git gud" is funny until it's the first 10 minutes of your game every single day :)
