This game continues to improve through early access, and the devs do a good job at listening to player feedback. The newest expansion, Gods and Relics, expands upon the strategy and depth of the game tremendously. If you're looking for a fun turn-based rogue-like, give this one a try.

The game has improved through and through since I started playing in early access. The game has since officially launched, added tons of new content, listened to the community relentlessly, and has made the game genuinely fun to play each run.

The difficulty scales up each time you win a run all the way up to tier 20, which is currently the highest. I have made it to that level each "season" and have felt good the scaling each time.

Each character feels fresh and it feels like they're releasing a new one each major patch.

"Vestiges", which are passives that grant you various bonuses (even more so if you have multiple of the same set) keep the game fresh and add in a HUGE variety of builds. There is basically "anything" that can win you a run if you spec into it well.

Monster Train was a home run for this company, but Inkbound truly is a fantastic game that is best enjoyed with a partner/group. Definitely a win for rogue-like enthusiasts.
